What material do you feel best transmits vibration?

I was wondering what would you consider to transmit vibrations best.
Physics would dictate that sound ie waves travels fastest without losing amplitude through the densest material.

The metal does rock but glass is right up there!

For vibrators, though, I think hard plastic for non-insertables is the way to go.

Metal would transmit the best but I prefer glass toys.
