We don't use condoms anymore but if we did it would not be reuseable.

If it could be completely sanitized, and not wear out too fast, sure. But that comes from my point of view where I don't have to worry about STDs. Sounds like a one-partner only sort of deal.

I'm also a bit surprised at the negative responses to this. After all, isn't the diaphragm basically a reusable condom worn by a female instead of a male?

Eww, Hell no. I'm allergic to latex anyway. I haven't had sex with a condom yet, but I've had to use condoms for medical procedures. I like the way lambskins feel, but I know how they aren't as effective as latex condoms. I still can't do much about it, because having reactions to latex is a real bitch to deal with :/.
