Bad Dragon

DB has updated their web site - and honestly it's a big improvement - especially the real-size option to see just what you are getting into.

Unfortunately they raised the price of all large toys $15 - so the Echo I was looking at went from $120 to $135 and went from 'I'll save up for it' to 'Forget it - not worth it!'

Owning a BD toy has been a dream of mine for such a long time, but as with many people here, the price on them is pretty far out of my range at the moment. I do log onto their site from time to time to fawn over the pretty dragon dildos - because dang, their toys are so amazingly gorgeous. Not all of the colors they offer are my thing but some of the others are just beautiful. They are beautiful sex toys and I love that about them.

As for the new site design, I'm bit 50-50 on whether I hate it or like it. There is no love for it, just a mix of hate and like. I actually liked the old size demonstrations comparing the toy sizes next to a soda can.

And them raising their already high prices even higher? I sigh. Every little aspect of creating your toy adds more fees unless you go with the most basic, generic options. It feels like they're trying to make the bad dragon community (the dragon riders as I think someone else in this thread called them?) as exclusive as possible to warrant the rise in their prices. Like the fine art world, but the dildos edition. If only a small, elite group of people can afford them then it raises their prestige and "value." But come on, don't get so full of yourselves BD - you're still making fantasy dildos, some of which are dangerously close to crossing the line from fantasy into beastiality territory.

I knew I wasn't imagining the price increase on their toys. The entire price ranges have gone up and I'm glad I got my two toys when I did. Flops are still fairly inexpensive but they're not always the best as some have really deep nicks in the surface, making the toy useless for my OCD tastes.

Audiallust said it best; I think they're just trying to be more exclusive, and it's a shame. They know that their toys are beautiful, and they're milking it for all they can knowing that their community will still buy from them. Sadly, I think I am stepping down from buying anymore Bad Dragon toys, because I just cannot afford any glow in the dark toy I want, and I was hoping to get a terra the wyvern without a cumtube as it's a burden to clean constantly.
