Looking for Advice

Contributor: BeccaB. BeccaB.
I'm a little embarrassed to be asking this but several years ago I was in a coma and suffer some nerve damage due to this achieving an organism has been hard at times. I have been trying to find a toy to help and have been unsuccessful. so my question is which vibrator and/or dual vibrator would you suggest using. i'm looking for one that is pretty powerful as I need the stimulation in order for them to work around the nerve damage. any help is appreciated.

Filling us in on what you have tried and what level of success you've achieved with them would probably help folks give more useful advice.

Have you tried any of the "wand vibrators"? (Hitachi, Wahl, etc.) These, while not pretty, plug into the wall and offer the most power you're probably going to find from a toy. The wand vibrators are purely for clitoral use, however you can buy attachments to use for penetration as well.

Another clitoral stimulator that I've tried and LOVE is the Eroscillator. I don't have any difficulty orgasming, however I know many women who do have difficulty achieving orgasm have used the Eroscillator with great success. Other women hate it. LOL

These kinds of things are so individual, but hey - the trying's half the fun, right?

What about those didn't do it for you? Were they too long, not powerful enough, did they not have enough g-spot action, or what? It sounds like so far you've really only used cheap, wimpy toys.

From here I'd personally get two things, which are both under $30. I'd get the Amethyst, which is great for finding g-spots. A lot of ladies say it's a dream come true.

I'd also get either the Eden bullet (which is out of stock right now) or the Xtreme bullet. These are both VERY powerful clitoral stimulators. They'll give you an idea if you need different ( Eroscillator) or stronger (other wand vibrator) vibrations. If you find that you like the small toys and they have good power, you should totally invest in one of the smaller We vibe toys like the Salsa.

Good luck!

Second this. It sounds like you've been working with some lower end items. Ryuson makes some good suggestions here. You may find that you simply need to up your quality which will, unfortunately mean a jump in price. Cheap vibrators just do not work for me. Not because I need lots of power, I don't, but the quality and frequency of the vibrations matters a lot for me. But you have two good options here for inexpensive powerful vibes. For a dual stimulator, you're going to definitely have to go up significantly in price, especially to stick with safe materials.
Little powerful clit vibes are going to be the We-Vibes and MiMi. They're expensive but worth it for most people. Wands like Hitachi and Fairy are large and aren't sexy or cute but insanely powerful. I don't know much about the Eroscillator except that some women swear by it and it straight up doesn't work at all for others. I can't really offer much in recommendations for rabbit/dual stimulators, but nice, powerful ones in good materials tend to be pricey.

The Eroscillator is strong, deep, and non-numbing (numbing caused by vibes is short term -- that they make you numb with repeated use is a myth). The Jimmyjane Little Chroma is deeper-than-average and non-numbing, although it has less power. Both are designed to last for decades, so they won't die in a month.

There are also strong vibes like the Mimi, the Salsa, and wand vibes like the Hitachi. The one problem with super strong vibes is they can feel painful when you're overstimulated -- the two I named above don't do that, which is why I prefer them. Others prefer the power. There's really no way to know without trying. If you end up with a too powerful wand vibrator, you can always use it for sore muscles.

I do enjoy using the Luv my Body, Getaway Luxe and the Miracle Massager. These are more powerful and can override some nerve damage due to the cervical discs being injured. I have a herniated disc and these will override the deadened nerves in other areas of my body.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I've read that women who've had nerve damage can best orgasm via internal stimulation. If that's true I'd say a powerful g-spot or girthy vibe is your best bet.

Glad to know that you are back with us.

I have found that the power of a vibrator can be interpreted so differently by each person. There is no right answer, or wrong answer. For us, it came down to oscillations rather than vbrations. My wife years ago used the Eroscillator and never looked back. She would be the first to say OMG. Years later today, she still says OMG. It works for her every single time.

I offer no guarantee as to what will work for you. But, I do wish you all the best. Welcome back.
