I now have a swing that goes over the top of the door so that easy enough to hid from unwanted eyes. But I also had a hook in my ceiling (when I still lived with my parents) and I had one of those floating chairs that I would put up when I wasn't using my old sex swing.

The landlord isn't fussy about putting stuff up on the walls and ceilings (plus, the ceiling is already torn up pretty badly), but I'm planning to cover up the holes when I leave.

I agree. once the eye bolt is screwed into the wood, don't remove it. Just paint it the same color as the ceiling. It won't be as noticable
