The one thing that I would have to say about it is that if you are going to try it, take the time to learn exactly what you attempting to do. You need to be more careful with sounding due to the nature of exactly what you are doing and where the sounds go. Most of the time with anything sexual, if it hurts you stop. With sounding on the other hand, one may or may not be able to feel if it hurts or not. SO BE CAREFUL...! Here is a site that I like that may be able to help you out link

I've been researching for a few months now, It's definitely not something I want to try just willy nilly. I've read a lot about safety and techniques, sounds, plugs and lubes. I'm intrigued by the concept and there's really only one way to find out if it's something you enjoy hehe.

What I really want to know about is other peoples experiences, what does it feel like? Is there anything I should expect?

I would never try it and neither would my partner. He has had a q-tip swap up his urethra for a kidney stone test. He said it was one of the worst pains he has ever felt.

I would never try it and neither would my partner. I really don't think that it would be safe. In the healthcare field you never use anything other than sterile items for insertion into the urethra. I looked it up and couldn't find any reputable websites that discussed the safety issues. I read on wikipedia that it could actually stretch your urethral sphincter resulting in incontinence. I'm not sure of how true that is but I wouldn't want to find out!

I have tried urethral stimulation play many times and only recently correllated it to the odd timing of my UTIs. It seems my urethra is very grouchy and it's not a good idea for me. *sigh*

As usual Wikipedia is a font of disinformation. There isn't a way to cause incontinence through urethral insertion though you could cause scarring if you are incredibly rough. It's the same as saying frequent anal play can cause you to "leak" it's all bunk said by ignorant people.

I have a restricted and very short urethera which is why I tend to get UTIs from play in that area...but this isn't a common thing and they do sell sounds that one can use to gently stretch and stimulate the urethra. They are usually surgical steel and can be cleaned enough to be safe. Hell they even make urethral jewelry!

In the healthcare field you have to worry about things like resistant bacteria and super viruses...let's face it most people having a proceedure done are most likely sick so you HAVE to be very careful what you stick into the body. As Sue Johansson said more than once "a penis isn't sterile and neither are fingers or a tongue!" Under general play conditions clean is sufficient sterile isn't necessary.

As I stated I couldn't find reputable websites. I guess I should've clarified. I just added that b/c it's all I could find just by doing a simple search. The penis isn't sterile but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be harmful to stick something nonsterile in the urethra. I don't see the fingers or tounge going into the urethra very far. We also teach those pts that are doing in home catheters to use sterile supplies as we do in the hospitals and clinics. If we use just "clean" items there is a risk of a UTI. Women in general have way shorter urethras than men. Women's urethras are approx 2-3 in and men's urethras are approx 8-9 inches. I'm not a fan of UTIs so I don't even wish to try this.

I can't say I have ever had real problems from it. At the time, the female I was with had a very kinky side to her. No, I have not had the opportunity to try the plug ones. I have seen them, and I would really like to get back into playing with them again, perhaps I shall start looking again for a nice set. But, that aside orgasms with a solid sound in from my perspective was part of what made the experience all the better. With the smaller one in, it would force its way out around the sound. With a lager one, it would seep out slowly, and then once the sound was removed squeezing the penis from the base to the tip would produce the rest of the ejaculate.

Wasn't that swab without lubrication though (for accurate results?)?
