I work in the medical field and as a result perform sounding on a regular basis, most of which is not readily welcomed by the receiver.

There is absolutely no sexual allure in this activity for me. =_=

I would never try that & I dont think it would be too save for someone to try it if they dont know how to insert anything in the urethra correctly. There are alot of things that could go wrong & you could injure yourself.

I get enough urinary tract infections, and My Man is totally squicked out by sounding. So, it's not for us.

EVERYTHING used for sounding should be completely sterile. Women are more prone to urinary tract infections and ANY urinary irritation should be taken to a doctor for treatment as soon as symptoms occur, as direct contact with the inside of the bladder can cause some serious issues which can lead to kidney involvement. Kidney involvement (and I've had kidney infections in addition to regular bladder infections, they are awful and also very dangerous) can cause kidney damage, and often require strong antibiotics, sometimes even IV antibiotics and a short hospital stay.

I'm not trying to scare you, but there's a reason sounding is usually only done on males, they tend to have stronger bladders, get less infections and there is more urethra to sound before you get to the neck of the bladder, where the trouble can happen.

I've been medically catherized, and honestly, would not choose to have anything placed into my urethra. Too many infections, too much scar tissue. Not for me.

Not something I'd be into, but I don't see anything wrong with exploring it with your partner.

Unless you have something completely sterile, don't try it. They sell sounding kits at BDSM places, but still, you have to make sure it's sterile. I once saw some guy put mardi gras beads down his...ouch!

I've never heard of this before, and am wondering: how can I guy ejaculate with that inserted in him?

I'd be too afraid something would go wrong. But I hope you and your partner have a pleasurable time!

I wouldn't try it, it's a turn off for me and my man. If you're curious about it, and feel like it's something you both really wanna do then I say go for it . . . carefully! lol. If it's not all you thought it would be, at least you know you don't like it. If so, you've found a new foreplay. =]

While it wasn't for sexual pleasure, I have had a few experiences with urethral insertion. I was in the hospital (my appendix ruptured and I waited to long to check in and started to get septic) and had to get a a rather large cathater placed twice during my stay. (The first one was accidentally pulled out buy an absent minded nurse working a double shift)

It's an interesting experience. The initial contact with something narrow being inserted felt kinda like a finger prick (not pleasant but not unbearable) It was followed by a sudden intense surge of heat which I assume is from all my blood rushing to my urethra. Then comes a really peculiar feeling of sensing that the urethra is wide open but not feeling the usual moisture that accompanies that feeling when you urinate. It was confusing, but then again the morphine might have played into that a little bit too. Taking it out isn't bad at all. The worst part is the insecurity that you may pee on somebody.

So I can't imagine that inserting something narrow would be a terrible horrific experience, but it would certainly take some getting used to. I hope that helped and was somewhat applicable to your upcoming adventures! Good luck and have fun!

It's a pretty rare thing to get me to say "I would never try it," but urethral insertion pain just does not sound erotic to me. I would be too worried about pain, and about UTI's, to be able to enjoy myself.
