What do you store your toys in?

Contributor: kaykay0427 kaykay0427
I only have 3 toys right now but in a little while I'll have more and they are out growing the little tin canister that I have them all in... I found really nice trunk that I am going to put all of them in... I was curious to see what other people put their toys in, especially the people with an abundance of toys.

Devine Play Chest and a big white rubbermaid tub that we drilled holes into for a lock on one side and a strong zip tie on the other.

I was storing them in this huge trunk I got and decorated myself (with sparkles of course! LOL), but then I gave it away because my sister liked it. Now I have this huge box that has a nice velcro lid that matches my room (black and white design with pink trim on the box) and I got that pretty thing for $9 and it stores every single toy I own and that I still have half the box left that's not filled up! I love it. It's really durable and it's pretty enough to be left out.

I personally have about 50-60 toys. I don't think I own any more than 60 and my $9 box holds it all. I even considered storage just for my lingerie and huge panty collection because I literally have no more room and don't know where to put it! I've been collecting crazy panties for years, so they're busting out of my room! I will probably just start using a third closet. But those pretty boxes are so darn handy!

Do you have a TJ MAXX or Marshall's in your area? If so, you will love the storage options they have! That is where I originally got the idea to use this box I have (the huge decorative box with a velcro lid) it looks like one of those decorative photo boxes only way bigger and I was going to wait until TJ MAXX had something in black and white to match my room, and sure enough! I found mine at another store that same week. You can find some beautiful storage items at those places for very cheap prices.

Each of mine is wrapped seperately in plastic wrap and stored in a cardboard box.

We try to use the original packaging but if that doesn't work we use zip lock bags.

I keep ours in the closet or in a drawer next to the bed. It all depends on what toys and how often they get used.

I have 2 Rubbermaid stacks of drawers that has 3 drawers each an all my toys are in the original packaging. I have some that sit on the headboard as well. I have a basket that sits in the closet on top of the drawers that has stuff in them as well.

An under-bed rolling Sterilite bin, since I don't have to worry about kids finding them or anything. Easy access, nobody knows they're there. If you get one of those battery-operated led nightlights that you activate by pressing the top of it, you can stick that to the inside of the bin so you can find your toys in the dark.

Now that I thought about it, with a drill and some lock hardware I would probably be able to add a lock to the bin. Nothing that's going to thwart a master thief, but it would keep small children out. If I were so inclined, anyway.

I bought a set of drawers from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It's metal and wood and matches my bed so it works as a night stand. However, a few more orders and I'll outgrow those drawers too

We have a very large lockable black trunk that sits in the closet. It's stuffed full, but it's safe from the kids peeping eyes in there.

I also have a few rubbermaid bins of toys in various states of review, waiting for videos, etc.

Top drawer, most of them are in the containers they came in. I want to get more of those velvety little bags to keep em in.
