It contains a very mild numbing agent and you'll get less stimulation from sex. So you may last longer..but it's not guaranteed...

If your bad experience was due to not being able to get it off/adjust it, try one that is easily adjustable (with snaps or something).
Otherwise, try practicing delaying your ejaculation--when you're masturbating, get really close to coming, and then stop. Then get yourself close again, then stop. The more you practice with that, the better control you'll have over your erections.

i second maria's comment above. the technique is called "edging". try searching for info, there are some really well-written articles on the subject. edging branches into several schools, such as orgasm without ejaculation, multiple male orgasms, continuous male orgasm, and so on. takes practice, it's something one develops, but it will enhance your experiences regardless of what level you take it to.
