There is already a vote about what you have and how you like it How do you like your mattress? but this time I'd like to know what do you consider the best to have sex on. This is not necessarily the one you have! What do you think is best, maybe something you already tried and is so far the best. What is that?

I gave it a lot of thought when I was buying my mattress and I thought the more springy, the better. This might not be true. The springs absorb the thrusting power or movement while sex rather than giving back! Anyone else agrees?

So far I liked my girlfriend's vacuum mattress better. Those come rolled up and foamy but not quite the memory. I heard on House MD that a memory foam top is awesome. I honestly don't know what to think.

I guess a firm mattress without springs or pocket springs + 5cm / 2" memory foam top can be the best? 10cm / 4" would be too much.

I saw there are separate pillow tops. Which is basically a thick duvet attached to the top of the mattress making it soft, right? Would you buy one of this? Is it unadvised to combine that with a memory foam top?

We only have a memory foam pillow and it's very nice. If the whole bed would be covered in this, omg!

Here the lowest good innerspring mattreses start from $275 and the regular high end with memory (not luxury or ultra tall) is about $1700 for a king size bed (160x200 / 63" by 79").

I spend a LOT of time on the bed, I'm often using my computer or watching movies on it. My current innerspring mattress already started developing a slight hole around the middle :/

Whatever turns out best I think if it's good for sex then I'll get used to it when sleeping as well as it can't be that bad I'm not too picky about what I sleep on, but chances are I'll like it in my sleep if it's good for sex too

So any opinions on this?
