Between the two, I think I'd go with the Pulse. Partially because I don't own a Hitachi (not yet, anyway), and partially because I like the wider range of toy options. Looks harder to pass off as an ordinary pillow, though.

A friend of mine has the Pulse, and she LOVES it, but she's not much of a hitachi girl, so there's that.

I have the Pulse and it tends to hurt my inner thighs while riding it. If ya have the Hitachi, I'd go for the Axis cause ya could use it in different positions without the wand. Whereas the Pulse is more so for just riding.
I guess ya could use it turned over if your fiancee wants to lay over the top of it for certain rear entry sexual positions.
