#AskEden: Version of the We-Vibe Touch?

Contributor: eri86 eri86
If I was to order a We-Vibe Touch from EF right now, which one would I get? The original version with the shiny silicone, and round power connector, or would it be the updated version with the matte silicone and the 'square' connector?

If it's the original, how much product does EF have to go through before they start selling the updated version, if they plan on selling it at all?

the product picture shows the original Touch. also, the description is about the original & says nothing about the updated Touch. so my guess is that you will get the original.

I would call customer service or open a support ticket and ask. I believe this question is one they should and will respond to because it's about buying something off the commercial site.

I do remember when they first put up the new colors of the We-Vibe Tango, they retained the original version photos until they took and finally posted the new pix. There is a chance you would get the new Touch, but I would never risk it. I would definitely check to be sure you get what you want!

If you don't mind, would you please update this thread with whatever info you find out from Eden on this matter? It would sure be helpful to any others asking the same thing!

here's that update.

I just called Customer Service & asked which version they are selling. I was told to compare the UPC code on EF with the We-vibe site product UPC code. you'll get your answer.

Well, good luck finding the UPC code on We-vibe, I certainly couldn't find it! (Of course, if I was the one looking into this, I would use the "contact us" feature to ask.)

HOWEVER, I think it's really UNBELIEVABLY LAZY of EDEN's CUSTOMER SERVICE not to find out this info for their customers!!! WTF? They can't be bothered to know what they have in inventory? Gee, I guess you're shit outta luck if you order expecting the up to date model and instead get the old one because you can't return it?

I AM ASTOUNDED that they basically told you to go do the footwork for them when they have the ability to check right there on their computers. And if they don't, then why the hell don't they? What the hell has happened to this place?

So I contacted We-Vibe directly, to get the identifying number for the newer We-Vibe Touch, in order to compare it against the number for the We-Vibe Touch currently available on EF.

We-Vibe sent me two numbers. One for the original, and one for the updated. But they sent me SKU numbers. Neither number matches with the number on the EF We-Vibe Touch product page, because that is a UPC code.

And a UPC differs from a SKU. UPC = Universal Product Code. SKU = Stock Keeping unit.

SKU's are store specific, so I'm not sure why We-Vibe sent my SKU's when I specifically asked for the UPC.

Will this mystery never be solved!
