My husband & I just moved into a house where we have two roommates. We have our own bedroom and I love the Egg Ecstasy but it can be heard in the hallway with our bedroom door shut. Most really, really strong vibrators tend to be loud as well.
If I remember correctly (and I'm sure someone can confirm or deny), the MiMi or Uma are relatively quiet and pretty strong.

The Wahl is seriously whisper-quiet. I don't know if that's what you'd be looking for, but it's the strongest thing I've ever laid my hands on and I can't really hear it even when I'm using it without blankets.
