Am I the only one that wonders why the Intensity isn't rechargeable?

I have been dying for the Jopen intensity. The more I think about getting it the more I wonder why it uses batteries? Is it because of the design? I just don't see a toy that expensive running on batteries being a plus. Is it just me?

I didn't even know that. I never really considered it, but now that turns me off from it more.

It runs on batteries? Really with Jopen you would think it would be rechargeable.

You know, I never thought of that, but you're right. I'm curious too and kind of bummed about it now that I think about it. I've been planning to get ahold of that toy eventually, but that is a big bummer that it isn't rechargeable. Come to think of it, I may be wrong, but I'm thinking Cal Exotics may have posted somewhere on the forums about this toy a while back and saying there was a reason for them going with a battery powered thingy. Hmmm...

It would just increase the price if they made it rechargeable. It really doesn't go through batteries like you would think it would.

Yup, this. Al from CalEx came on the site and said so. The price would have been insane had they made it rechargeable, thus why it's battery operated.

My assumption had been that if it was rechargeable, the type of people who refuse to read instructions would try using it while plugged in, and that could potentially lead to electrical burns, since obviously a wall outlet is significantly stronger than batteries. But the cost explanation makes even more sense.

I wondered this as well. I tried to do a search but I didn't get much other than it doesn't use up batteries fast. I am still gonna give it a shot.
