Do vibrators suffer in humid climates?

Contributor: Pardalote Pardalote
I can't seem to find any information on this. In 2011 I moved to Guam and I have had just the WORST time with vibrators since moving here. I had a Lelo siri that broke down after a couple of weeks and I sent it in for warranty replacement - and the one they sent back suffered the same fate (did they send me a new one or just repair the old one??? Who knows...).

I got a Couture Inspire that broke down after a few weeks as well - apparently due to damage from fluid getting inside the motor compartment. I had tried to be diligent about cleaning it, but SOMEHOW it got inside.

So I'm wondering... could living in a humid, tropical climate (even in an Air Conditioned apartment) have an adverse affect on vibrators?

Does anybody have an experience with this?

Thanks.

Here is something I found on the topic. I never thought about humidity causing problems other than sweaty cracks before! Good to know. You could get a dehumidifier for your house if you don't already have one. That should help.

Makes sense that humidity would be a problem. I'd keep them in sealed plastic bags - that have as much air purged out as possible. Good luck!
