When I started buying vibes, I thought it was a big deal, but now, I don't know. I rarely use my toys in the shower, and even then, it's just some splashes. I don't have a bathtub here, so it's not important to me. How 'bout yall?
Do you even need a waterproof feature?

I don't use my toys in the bathtub but I find it an important feature because I don't want to have to be cautious when I'm washing a toy; waterproofing ensures that I can give it a really deep clean and not worry I'm going to tank the toy.
Plus, when I'm buying an expensive toy--which is mostly what I do these days--I expect to be able to use it anywhere.

Yes, I HAVE to have this function. As an extremely juicy women who squirts regularly, I NEED it! I have ruined many non waterproof toys.

Agree about the waterproof due to washing. I don't feel its clean until a good scrub and rinsing under the tap.

It's important for me.
06/25/2012
Yep. Sometimes I take my toys into the bath. ;3

It certainly helps but is not a prerequisite. I spend a lot of time with toys in the tub, especially when the kids are home. So a waterproof feature is appreciated.
06/25/2012
It's useful, but I don't seek it out in a toy.
06/25/2012
I don't need it, but once in a while it can come in handy.
06/25/2012
I don't really need it since I rarely take toys into the shower/tub.
06/25/2012
I require and expect it of my toys. I don't play in the shower, but like others have mentioned - I can ruin a non-waterproof toy myself due to loads and loads of lubrication or ejaculate, plus I prefer to clean them thoroughly and waterproofing helps for that too.
06/25/2012
I don't often use things in the shower anymore, but I'm pretty anal about how clean something is. For that reason I prefer things to be waterproof.
06/25/2012
I agree with everyone who says it's helpful for washing, which I'm really obsessive about. Other than that, though, I really don't care. I take too long in the shower as it is.
06/25/2012
I usually take glass toys in the tub, and of course, they are waterproof. Just have to be careful not to drop them
06/25/2012
I don't need it in a clitoral toy, but I need an insertable toy to be waterproof because I squirt a lot. I have ruined plenty of non-waterproof toys by my squirting abilities.
06/25/2012
Yes i sure do
06/25/2012
I don't use toys in the tub, but I still only buy waterproof vibrators because I wash them under running water for a very long time; it's better to be safe than sorry.
06/25/2012
While I don't use any of my toys in the bath or shower, I do really like having waterproof toys because it makes them SO much easier to clean without having to make sure I don't get water somewhere where it shouldn't be.
06/26/2012
It is good feature for it to have for cleaning and if you ever want to try it in the shower. just because you don't have a tube not dose not mean you will not have one later.
06/26/2012
Hell yes! It's mandatory that my toys be at least splashproof, and being fully waterproof is a huge selling point for me. I love playing in the shower and bath, and almost never used vibes in bed due to squirting/peeing/whate ver the hell it is - showers make cleanup easy. The bed is a dildo-only zone.

Everyone has mentioned it....
It's just a safety precaution.
Then there is me. Almost all my toys are waterproof and I've ruined one or two non-waterproof/splashp roof toys by just tossing them in the sink, filling the sink up then screaming into the mirror at myself for ruining yet another toy because I was careless.

Yes, I must have it. I don't feel like I can clean my toys well if they aren't waterproof.
06/26/2012
And to add... I feel that if you are paying for a "luxury" vibrator or paying over eighty dollars for a vibe, waterproof should be in that price and should be the standard.
06/26/2012
I prefer waterproof!!! It makes cleaning more relaxed. And options are a good thing!
06/26/2012
I rarely use toys in the shower or tub, but like others I want waterproof toys for the ease of cleaning. I hate having to be careful with my nonwaterproof toys.
06/26/2012
I have yet to bring a toy into the shower, but I do use water-based lube and like cleaning by rinsing under the faucet, so I prefer waterproof.
06/26/2012
I'm a pretty destructive person and I don't have a good past with electronics so I always get waterproof just for washing and rinsing because so many of my watches have broken just by me washing my hands

This sums up my view nicely so I'll just second what they said.

I would say yes; I did order the non-waterproof Liv by Lelo this week as my exception to the rule. I'll include in my review if it becomes a hassle to clean it.
