Anyone else have a hard time thinking of spending $50-100 on a sex toy? Wondering if the super expensive ones are even worth it?

I used to have an issue spending a lot of money for expensive ones, but then I took the plunge and bought Uma and Mimi. I love both of those vibrators so much that I've since decided to try saving for other high end vibrators. Sometimes the high end ones let me down, other times... well, other times I feel like I've found my new best friend.

I don't have a problem spending more on higher quality toys. I'd rather pay more for toys with better material and good design/function, then to waste money buying a whole bunch of cheap and low performing junk.

My fave toys are the most expensive toys I bought. I have a few cheap toys and I don't really use them to much mostly just to change it up once and a while. Rechargeable are awesome!

At first, but after the first couple and seeing how well made and strong they were, it was easy. With points and discounts, it is totally worth it in the end.

I want to save up for a rechargeable vibrator some day, but I wouldn't spend that much on a dildo. There's plenty of relatively cheap glass and other dildos to buy without spending $50 on them

I do my research for a long time before making a big toy investment, to be as certain as possible that it's something I'll like. This process hasn't steered me wrong so far. (Eroscillator, Pure Wand, Fling, various Tantus dildos...)

It use to bother me, but I ordered Mimi, Salsa, and Vr9 and ever since I ONLY buy luxury toys. I haven't bought a non luxury vibrator in a long time. I don't foresee me not spending the extra to buy a high end vibrator with a warranty. Dildos are different. I will buy non luxury dildos because Glass toys from Don wands, SSA glass, and Pipe dream are equal in quality to Phallix glass toys. But I will spend the extra for a uniquely designed toy. If they appeal to me.

I think its best to stick with the cheaper toys until you know what you want out of luxury toys. Every toy is designed with a different person's needs in mind, so even though a toy might be made of great materials or with a super design, it still might not be the one for you. If you find characteristics that you really like in a toy, sometimes its totally worth it to shell out some big bucks to get the best toy on the market with those features. Plus, shopping at EF, almost all the toys are on sale and you can keep saving up points so your luxury purchases don't break the bank.

It depends on which toy you get, I find that in shops many toys are over priced for what you get however a lot of the luxury toys are actually a great deal!

At first, I wasn't into the luxury toys either. And to be honest, there are some really nice toys that are not all that expensive. But over time, I've found that the higher end luxury toys I've gotten have really been worth it.

For example, my VixSkin dildos (which are usually over $100) still look brand new, after being used countless times and even during my period. For the really well made toys like those, they will generally last a lifetime. And a lot of the luxury toys have a 1 year replacement warranty, and then an additional 10 year warranty as well. So, I feel like it's a safe investment.

I've only been disappointed a very, very few times.

My second toy was Lelo Siri, so no. I always figured that a luxury toy would generally be worth the price, but I also did research before hand to make sure it was something I wanted. If you take the time to do research and see that it is something you would like then you'll usually be satisfied I believe. But you can also buy cheap ones to get a feel for what you like first.

I had a hard time with it at the beginning, but since trying some higher end toys I would never go back to the cheap stuff.

I have the Pure Wand and the Fun Factory G4 Big Boss and love both of them. I do a lot of research and don't have problems spending a bit more on something that is going to be inserted into my body. I can even sterilize the Pure Wand. Even if you are buying on the cheaper end make sure the materials are body safe.

Not at all. Almost everything I buy costs $75+. I actually hesitate to buy anything that costs less because the materials usually aren't high quality. On the vibrators that cost less the motors wear out quickly and they usually aren't strong. So I'm more apt to spend money on quality than have a heap of cheap stuff I hate or that isn't safe.

I agree with you, I've noticed that too - the motors wearing out on the cheaper stuff. I am pretty much going to save up a lot of points to try and get a more expensive toy

I've had a few things that are inexpensive and I really enjoy (Gold Laced G, anyone!?) ... but the majority of my 'favorite toys' are expensive. The Eleven, the Jopen Intensity, the Lelo Smartwand, the NobEssence Smooth S Shape and Romp... most things that I really really love have been worth it.

I do love Tantus for making things that are both affordable and high quality, though!

considering how many lelo toys I just traded away.. I'd look for an inexpensive option

For a dildo you could do no wrong buying Vixskin silicone. It is by far the best from my experience. As to a vibrator, my wife swears by oscillations. The Eroscillator is her go to toy using the grapes attachment. It takes her over the top every time. But, neither of these are inexpensive choices.
