Form 2

Contributor: Owl Identified Owl Identified
Does anyone know if Jimmyjane has released any statement about whether or not they plan to tweak and re-issue the Form 2 sans that awful problem that everyone seems to have with it? I want desperately to get one but I can't think of even spending $134 worth of GCs on a toy that has such a big malfunction But it's so purty.

Anyone in the know? Top secret info to share?

I haven't heard anything but, also, I don't notice the glitch nearly as much as many have said they do.

Vibes do occasionally shift to the base of the toy but it's seriously very momentary and very positional. Once you figure out what "not" to do, it's not much of a problem. At least for me. Mileage obviously varies.

Interesting, thanks for your feedback. I wish I could just hold one and see what this glitch is like. It may be something that I absolutely couldn't stand, but it might also be a minor thing. These things are so subjective which is why I figure for myself I'll veer on the side of caution, at least for the time being. I'm pretty fair to toys though and can tolerate some little quirks. I love my new Chroma which has that really silly cap, but it doesn't bug me really and I still think it's totally worth the price.

Hm...now I'm getting rambley...

Mine works really well and is only a little glitchy. I love it! It is my all time favorite, couldn't live without it vibe.

If I had to spend the money all over again I would do it in a heartbeat.

Mine is horribly glitchy. If I just lay it on me it will vibrate fine. If I apply ANY pressure the glitch starts. They replaced mine but the replacement unit is exactly the same.

Maybe NuMe and Carrie Ann don't need any pressure or use theirs on lower settings. On the higher settings its unusable.

They never expressed the sentiment that they intended to fix the problem in my communications with Jimmyjane, although they wanted the old product for research. I have the impression they'll incorporate what they learn about this flaw into future products but not the Form 2.

Tuesday, I had one that was really glitchy but JJ exchanged it for me. The one I have now I can use pressure with it. But it does still occasionally act up.

I just emailed Jimmyjane a few days ago and based on their response it doesn't sound like they'll make a new version of the Form 2. They just told me that the Form 3 is supposed to be coming out fairly soon, sometime this year. Maybe you would rather wait for that? I really love my Form 2 though, and Ican use pressure with it. The only problem I have is that I have to spread my labia if I want to use it on either side of my clit. They would exert barely any pressure but for some reason it freaks out when it touches them. If I use it vertically, above and below my clit, I never have a problem.

Do you use yours on a lower setting? I'm wondering if that's the difference. I'm a maximum power kind of girl.

I love mine. At first it was difficult learning how to not stimulate the flaw.. but I have learned to work around it and it is the best clit vibe I have. I will take this guy even over my erocillator or nea. I know it won't work for everyone... but its definitely worth a chance. When mine dies.. I will buy another one!

That's so odd, I've read other reviews that also said that when touched to the outer labia the Form 2 freaked out. Sounds like a common problem. I think I'll wait for the Form 3. Kinda seems like they're skipping around number-wise, eh?

Nope, I always use it on high. I just remembered that it also has the problem on the first pattern, the one they call oscillate. That setting is basically unusable on mine, but the other ones work fine. I should really write a review about it, seems like a lot of people would like more information.

The Form 2 packaging shows Form 3 and Form 4 as vague silhouettes so I think that they will both be clit vibes, and then Form 6, Form 7 and Form 8 will be the insertables. Not sure why they would skip 1 and 5 though. And if anyone cares, Jimmyjane also told me Form 4 is coming out in 2011.

So maybe that's the difference. I always use it on oscillate, the steady vibration mode. I don't like patterns. Maybe when people say they've learned to use it without triggering the bad behavior, they're avoiding oscillate mode and maybe using it on lower settings.

If I could just squeeze the ears together on my clit I would be in such heaven, but that's guaranteed to trigger it.

I guess I've been lucky-- mine has only glitched once or twice, and not at all in the past few weeks. It's a little fussier than most of my high-end vibes, but it's also one of my favorites.

See, I'm with you, I think I would really want to use that mode. Additionally, to pay so much for a toy that takes so much walking on egg shells not to set off? I just can't get into it

I think you misunderstood, I always use it on high on the steady mode. Oscillate is the name of the first pattern, where it is supposed to alternate back and forth between the 2 ears. I don't like patterns either.
