Getting rid of packaging!

Contributor: ShadowedSeductress ShadowedSeductress
I have a hard time getting rid of packaging, especially with my luxury toys. It obviously causes some unnecessary clutter.

Does anyone else keep a lot of the packages for their toys?

I don't have an issue getting rid of the packaging unless it isn't recyclable.

I keep almost no packaging. I just see it as garbage, and I don't want a bunch of garbage around.

I used to have that issue. Really. I had a TON of packaging, but then it just become unpractical to keep it all anymore.

I recycle my packaging! I just don't want it all to collect, especially because I live in a dorm.

I recycle just about all my toy packages. Usually I take a picture of the item in the package, in case I decided to review it, and then I recycle the package immediately.

I generally throw out or recycle of the packaging that comes with my toys. I just don't have the space to store it.

I need to go through and take pics of the packaging for my toys that I'm planning to review, so I can recycle them.

I love keeping packaging for everything, not just toys. I mean, it's not possible to keep all of it, but I'm a terrible hoarder when it comes to that sort of stuff.

keep the packaging that works for storage. If it does not work for storage, it gets tossed right away.

I have a hard time getting rid of packaging for a lot of my higher end items. I am getting better and just keeping stuff that is useful for storage.

I toss unless it make great storage. If it is small and will keep my toy clean and free of lint or hair.

It's not an issue for us. We don't keep any packaging so we recycle what we can and discard the rest.

Im the same way when it comes to my toys and their packaging. currently i have 5 empty toy boxes stored under my bed, and while i know the majority can be put into the recycling, i just cant seem to let go - even when it comes to the cheap-o clam shell plastic stuff. At first i saved them all to recall for reviews and take photos of (before my camera stop working of course), but now i'm afraid once i get rid of them i'll end up needing them for storage or something. sometimes being a pack rat isnt so great.

If it's nice packaging that can be used for storage, I'll keep it. If it's not, then I toss the packaging and give my toy a plastic baggie to keep it lint free.

It depends on the package! Many luxury toys do come with nice packaging, and it's sometimes great for storage. I try to only keep the packaging that I will actually use for storage, though. The pieces in the Metal Worx line come in awesome storage cases! The Enchanted Crystals vibe came in a great little domed cylinder--of course, it's been discontinued recently.

I only keep it if I can use it for storing the toy. If it's just paper, plastic or cardboard then it gets thrown out.

I eventually just got rid of it all. It was taking up room that is now being used by more useful things.

All my toys are in original packaging I use it to store it all. I also keep it incase I decide to review the item. I am sure if there were more storage bags offered here or more toys came with bags I would eventually get rid of all the packaging.

I literally have kept every single toy in its original packaging. I feel dirty storing them all together for some reason. I have no idea why I just really hate putting sex toys in a drawer without any kind of object keeping it separated. It is annoying sometimes because some packages are big and bulky but oh well

if the packaging is nice, I store my toy in it, otherwise, out they go.

I have most of the packaging & will recycle most of it when I decide on a storage solution. For now, I have it available for any pictures I may need, but if I can't make good use of it, it will be leaving.

I don't have the room to keep it so all of mine goes in the trash as soon as I'm done with it.

I tend to do this, too..mostly because I want to protect my silicone toys because everything is in a tote bag. I want to get an under-the-bed organizer soon though so this won't be an issue.
