Hitachi has a bit more power. It only has 2 speeds though. The FM has a variable speed wheel. A nicer color. In my opinion the mini gets the nod.

I like the hitachi and don't have a FM yet.. but to be a well rounded toy owner.. im tempted to get one.

For power, I'd probably go with a Hitachi because it's slightly stronger (if I remember correctly), but the Fairy Mini isn't a bad purchase either.

I'd say the Hitachi over the fairy mini.It's more powerful.
