JoyDivision Vibrators

Contributor: Maxim Maxim
Hello Everyone!
Many of you have already experienced the quality and the design of these fine products. But there are a few issue I would like to clarify about these vibrators -
I have verified that JoyDivision vibrators are not waterproof/boilable/di shwasher safe, but they are splash-proof (water resistant). The properties on the product pages have been corrected to reflect this. I have read some reviews where the JoyDivision vibrators has been submerged in water with stellar results (which is great), but please note that this is not recommended as they are only water resistant.
Thanks!

THANK YOU!!!! I have The Body link sent to me from Eden, and knew immediately that this was not a waterproof, dishwasher safe toy. It's a really great vibrator, nice size, texture, vibrator, everything. But, I was 100% sure it wouldn't take being in water. (Mine sometimes has water on the inside of the threads after I just wash it.) Water Resistant is OK, you can wash them, but they are not water tight. I included this in my review.

Thank you again for correcting this.

Yeah I'm working on my review for The Body too. It definitely is water resistant. I found out for sure. When I washed it, it was almost immediately dry with just a little shake off. I hadn't tried it out IN water yet, but that's good to know that it's not waterproof. I opened it and saw that there was a sealing ring, so I had thought it would be okay. Now I know for future reference to NOT use it in the water.

The threads on mine are sometimes wet after I wash it, so I knew never to submerge it. Somebody from an other sex toy company once said to me "An O Ring does not waterproof make." She was so right. I have toys, that have O Rings, that have never had a drop of water inside them, even with vigorous washing, sadly, the Body tends to get a LITTLE bit wet on the threads, so I wouldn't try anything other than calling it "splash-proof." (Meaning you can run it under running water to wash it, THROUGH, not IN or UNDER water.)

But, it is not waterproof,(don't put in under water) nor is it dishwasher safe, nor can it be safely sterilized or boiled. I think the original "specs" which said this must have been based on a solid toy, like a plug or a solid dildo or something. Few if any battery or electric toys can be sterilized, unless you can completely remove the motor.

Just something to keep in mind. When you said it was "dry" when you gave it a little shake, did you check INSIDE the battery compartment, to make sure there was no moisture? The outside dries quickly, because silicone isn't porous, but it's whether water gets INSIDE a toy and can ruin the working parts that determines "waterproof-ness." Make sure you open it, and take a look after you wash it. I took a completely DRY Q Tip to and ran it around the threads inside to confirm that indeed some water did get inside the little silicone O Ring. You don't want to ruin that beautiful toy!

I hope you like The Body as much as we do!

Yup. I honestly don't know of any vibrators/toys with electric components that you can just pop in a pot and boil (and expect it to still work normally when it comes out). And with toys that are only water-resistant, not waterproof, I'd also steer clear of dishwashers. While holding the vibe by its base and dipping it into a pot of boiling water may sound like it could potentially keep everything from 'sploding, I feel like a good soap and warm/hot water treatment is good enough for me, and I'm a germophobe. Heh.

Oh yeah I checked after I washed it, because I washed it with the batteries out, so therefore had to put the batteries IN it to use it. There was no water leakage or moisture at all.

And actually, no I don't care for The Body at all. I didn't find it powerful, and because of the wide tip, was not able to insert the toy. So for me, it's pretty much a nice massager, and that's about it.

Thanks again Maxim! I love my Fire and Velvet vibes and would hate to ruin them in a dishwasher, but I got them for a review so I felt honor bound to test all the claims. Luckily my dishwasher is broken and I didn't have a chance to boil them. I couldn't see how a motor could come out of boiling water still working! All is well that ends well I guess.

I really would love to try a Fire! Hopefully Eden starts selling them. I'll have to get me one eventually.

Oh, I'm sorry you didn't like it. That's why there are so many different toys. Every woman and man has different things they like, size issues or likes, vibration likes and dislikes and materials they either like or don't like. You really may have to lube this baby up, and be very aroused to be able to penetrate with it. It is a very large toy, compared to most others I've tried. I usually have to use it on my clit for a while, if I'm alone or have him go to town, orally, before we try to insert it. It works, but it's really comfortable if I'm already very aroused, and ready for it. (Kind of like......PIV sex. )

It's becoming one of our favorite toys. I really enjoy penetration with this Guy. When I washed it last night, after a night of heavy play, there was NO water or even moisture on the threads. Maybe the O ring had to swell a little with use. I still am going to be very careful with this one around water.

However, last night I got irritated for a minute reached down too see what was wrong, and and I turned it off, despite having a good time. I realized My Man had also turned on the Marble G near the back door, and it was too much vibration going on at one time. (Which is weird for me, and unusual.) For some reason, the two of them together felt too "buzzy" for me. Although when using The Body vibrating without an other toy, I don't notice too much irritating "buzzy-ness" from this product. We also tend to use it on a lower speed, which makes the register lower and more rumbley. And he had it turned up all the way last night.

Different strokes....and sizes I guess. I really enjoy the shape and size. That's why they make so many different shapes and sizes.

I think it's an adorable design, it feels nice and velvety smooth, but even with the lube that came with it, I just couldn't seem to use it for penetration. At least you liked it, and mine won't be the only review on it, making it sound bad.

I did see some of their other toys I wanted to try though, like the wonder water and the fire.

Yeah. It's a Big Boy. I don't think it's for everybody. That was a "con" (for some) I included in my review. I think it is really a rather Size Queeie toy, for the most part. Although, the tip's vibrator is really strong enough for good clit stim. Also, straddling it, without penetration is really fun, too.

Better luck with the next one for you.

I think I've seen some of their things before, (different site) but I never bought any of their products wondering if they were really strong enough or whatever.

Well see, it still wasn't strong enough for clit stimulation for me. It just depends on the people. And I'm still working on my review. Falling behind because I'm in the process of moving. Haha.

It's not available for sale yet, but once it is, I'm gonna add it to my wishlist and hopefully purchase it eventually. I love the toys that seem to come to a point, which this one of course does, because I love using them for clit stimulation. Do you think it's powerful enough for clit stimulation for someone who needs moderate to high levels of vibration?

ssshan asked me Do you think it's powerful enough for clit stimulation for someone who needs moderate to high levels of vibration? about The Body.

I think it's moderately high in terms of vibration, it's not the lowest register toy I have. I don't like buzzy high register vibration in toys at all. But, The Body has low enough vibrations to get me going. I like low, rumbling deep vibrations. I can't go over the edge from this vibration alone, but I have a really High Orgasmic Threshold (it takes a lot of heavy intense stimulation for me to Come) and anything less strong than the Wahl or the Hitachi won't get me there.

But, I did find it close to the Hitachi on low, not quite as strong, but close. We find using the tip for clit stim is very arousing, and I think a woman with a more sensitive clit could get off with this. Everyone is different.

I really would like Eden to start carrying this toy.

The shape is so interesting and fun, the tip is really different than so many toys, it works on the clit, internally and can even his some women's G Spots (it works that way for me, especially if there is clit stim going on at the same time.)

I'm patiently (well not that patiently) waiting for Eden to put this toy for sale.

We really LOVE it a lot.
