We have started to get rid of our Jelly, Rubber and PVC toys. We will only keep glass silicone and metal. Anyone else a materiel snob?

I'm certainly becoming one. I pitched all the old things I've had for years, most of them made with unsafe materials, and decided this time around I would only get high-quality items made of the safest materials. I'm having fun being choosy.

Super picky. Nothing less than a 7 on the safety scale.

I have silicone, metal, glass, wood, ceramic, and plastic. I won't use anything that isn't a safe material, though I have been willing to test below my normal standards for reviews in the past. Considering the bad reactions I have to less safe materials, it's not something I do often. With my own money I won't buy anything I would deem unsafe.

If I am given an item to review that is not a great material, I will throw condoms in that order so I can use the toy. I am not going out of my way to purchase bad materials though. I haven't purchased anything below plastic, since learning about materials.

I've got a few items made of TPR and TPR silicone, but that's the lowest I go on the safety scale. For the most part I stick to silicone, with some glass and plastic. I'd like to try metal in the future, as well.

Well you spelled material wrong. But I am trying to steer clear from jelly toys, and staying with glass and silicone toys.

Yep, me too. I pretty much will try anything out but in a safe manner like putting a condom over it first. I won't buy jelly or something as porous with my own money.

Yes - we finally weeded out the jelly - never had rubber. We love metal, glass and silicone - haven't tried wood or ceramic yet.

I'm not i like jelly a lot to. But I want to tr and go more towards the harder materials

We're not all that picky when it comes to cock rings or clit vibes. As long as it isn't a toy that's real sticky or stinky, it's fine.
For insertable toys we don't buy anything that is jelly, pvc, or even TPR though. We'll review them simply because we know there are people who love those materials in spite of everything, but we use condoms on them and suggest that others do too. There are a few materials that we won't buy OR review though, no matter what kind of toy it is.

I've never bought anything else other than silicone/stainless steel/glass toys, so I guess you can call me a material snob.

I think most people on the forums are material snobs!

My wife used to have bad reactions to the inexpensive toys we purchased when we were younger. It got so bad that we threw most everything away and refused to purchase anymore sex toys.
Then several years ago we discovered the benefits of silicone. Thank you Tantus! We realized the source of our earlier problems was actually the inferior materials our prior toys had been manufactured from.
We are now very selective as to what toys we purchase. We are definitely material snobs.

I like shopping at Edenfantasies because they actually list the material. Only glass or silicone for me.

Nothing wrong with having high standards.
