Is Your Orgasm Worth 200 Dollars?

mjtheprincess mjtheprincess
So, I am more than guilty of buying luxury toys.
Which I love.
My toy weakness is anything pretty and expensive.
But is the orgasm worth the dough when I can get the job done without the toys?
I think so.
But I can't find good reason to justify it.
Anyone else have an opinion?
How do your justify your 200+ dollar orgasm maker? haha

Absolutely.

Toys don't just provide orgasm; they provide stress relief, exploration, enjoyment, relaxation... you name it.

I justify my purchase of expensive dildos by reminding myself that they are made of quality materials and will likely last the rest of my life.

I'd much rather have a single AWESOME toy that costs $200 than ten crappy toys that cost $20 each. Plus, this way you're saving space? Maybe?

No, because I can't afford to blow money like that on a sex toy. I have prescriptions to get for myself that cost almost that much alone!

yes...that's what Eden's points are for! lol....I also have an expensive taste but I've found that more expensive toys tend to last longer than my cheap ones. Plus, they are generally made out of better materials.

Expensive toys are worth it if the orgasm is reliable and awesome.

Correct! Exploration is key to finding new sexual horizons

A single orgasm, no. Lots of orgasms yes. I tend to buy expensive toys too.

Now that I know the basic types of toys that I like most, I'm okay with spending a lot on really nice versions of the cheaper things I've had (and broken) over the years, haha. And now that I know about the points system here, I'm pretty excited to find nicer versions of things I currently own, knowing that they'll last me a good long time.

Yep, just like what zeebot said - spending $200 on one very awesome toy is better than wasting your money on a bunch of crap, and you'll probably dump them in the back of your closet after one usage!

Depends. Mostly yes.

The question isn't 'Is an orgasm worth $200?' it's 'How much better can $200 make my orgasm?'

With my points helping a great deal? Yes, I would get a $200 toy. I actually want the Gold spiral wrapped baton with is $203 I believe. Would I spend that much fully in cash though? No. I don't have that kind of money when the cheaper toys work perfectly fine for me and I can find cheap high safety quality toys. If I had enough money that I could just blow $200 on a toy, then yes I might. But right now, I'd rather use that $200 for food than one pricey toy. $200 is a LOT of money to me.

Yuuup. I also can't orgasm on my own without them, so that plays a big part in why they're worth the money to me.

If a toy is really good (like the Eroscillator), then it'll give me dozens or even hundreds of orgasms in its lifespan. So the "cost per orgasm" is way, way lower than that $200. And I'm more than willing to shell out for awesome, convenient, blissful orgasms!

I'd rather have one or two really good expensive toys than boxes full of cheapo ones that just don't function well or leave me frustrated. I mean, there are cheap good toys out there for sure but the tricky thing is to find those excellent and durable ones.

I'm learning that the higher end can deliver more, faster than the cheap ones, they feel good and they even come with a warranty. Yes I am starting my collection of the "good" ones.

A great orgasm is well worth the money spent.

Well, its just like buying good quality paint vs. the cheap alternatives. You get what you pay for, and like paint with lots of pigment, your toys will last a lot longer than a cheaper toy, and in the long run, you're saving money. So chin up!

YES! IT'S WORTH IT!!

I think they are worth it. Here's 10 reasons I can justify expensive toys. They:
1. Are generally made of better, longer lasting, more durable and, most importantly to me, SAFER materials.
2. Have better motors and other moving parts in the case of vibrators and things like that. Thus will last longer and perform better than cheaper toys. Both this and #1 mean the toy will last longer!
3. Generally feel better during use. I've even found this to be true in the case of glass toys. My girlfriend has a cheapy glass piece that feels almost sticky to the touch and needs a lot more lube than our more expensive, better made pieces. More expensive silicone definitely feels better than cheap silicone or inferior materials! Better made toys are also usually a better shape. They also are less likely to have imperfections, especially the type of imperfections that can be felt (ie seams).
4. Usually look nicer and aesthetics are important to me. Maybe that's silly but I don't care.
5. Usually provide better quality vibrations. The vibrations from cheap vibrators just don't feel as good. Points 3-5 mean I will use the toy more than a cheaper one!
6. Are often "greener" meaning made of more environmentally friendly materials (!), made by companies with greener business practices, rechargeable, etc.
7. Are frequently, as mentioned above, rechargeable which saves expense of batteries and is much more convenient.
8. Are often backed by a MUCH better warranty and better customer service from the manufacturer than cheaper toys. This means, if the toy is defective or breaks (if it's not my fault), my money is less likely to be wasted!
9. Make me feel good about myself. I know this is materialistic and whatever, blah blah blah, but it's true. Spending money on myself once in a while, when I can responsibly afford it, feels good. I get to treat myself to something nice for going to work, school, putting up with assholes, working hard, being responsible.
10. Made more affordable by Eden's review program, buy out option, and points program!
WORTH IT!!

Safety and durability are important, but I'm going to skip over being redundant and try to add what hasn't been said. If a toy is significantly different than my other toys, and can provide something new, I'm going to go for it no matter what the cost. But spending big bucks on something that's incredibly similar to something I already own is harder to justify. The replacement has to be safer than the object replaced, or more durable than the object that has broken, or a significant upgrade in performance, to be truly worth the plunge.

I have difficulty orgasming so yes they are worth it to me and that's what points are for. I couldn't afford all my expensive toys otherwise.

Yes, guaranteed orgasms are worth the price. Having said that the only vibrator I have in the $200 range is the eroscillator which doesn't work very well for me. It was a big disappointment and just sits in a drawer. I have lots of vibes in the $100-150 range that are fabulous. They are worth every penny.
