Some silicone vibes, when pressed against the body with hand or fingers, have a tendency for the vibrations to back off or transmit more to your hand than the desired area of effect (clit or whatever other area you're trying to stimulate). I generally like to hold my clit vibes in my hand and use my finger tips to press it against my clit and rub a bit. Most plastic vibes handle this very well, but as I said, some silicone vibes end up with the vibrations redirecting or backing off due to the pressure. Does Mimi have this problem, or is it possible to apply some pressure with her and still have the vibrations transmit to where I want them? Obviously, I'm going to feel the vibrations in my hand, and that's not really an issue, I'd just ALSO like to feel them in my clit, instead of just in my hand, or more in my hand than on my clit. Hope that makes sense.
Question for the Mimi lovers.

I know what you're talking about, and I've never noticed that, but I only use what I'd describe as a "moderate" amount of pressure.
I pressed MiMi on my hand quite hard and there didn't seem to be any change in strength, going through all the intensities, I'd say the vibrations went deeper when pressing. (MiMi's box is so cute I have her out all the time instead of in my bag in the closet )
The silicone skin is very thin. The Leaf line seems to have thicker skin - I know my Fresh does and the vibrations act a little differently because of it.

I need an EXTREME amount of pressure and I haven't noticed this problem in Mimi. I have noticed it in the We-Vibe Salsa, though.

The MiMi will transmit vibrations evenly to your hand as well as your clit; there's no diffusion of vibrations that I've ever experienced.

I used my Mimi a couple of times with this question in mind. As I increase the pressure I can hear the motor change tone slightly, Mind you Mimi is still a pretty quiet toy, but I hear it more than I feel it. I go back and forth between Mimi and Life by leaf as to which is my favorite clit vibe. But I would get Mimi if I could only have one! It has a lovely quality of vibrations in addition to being powerful. I would say I do not notice any reduction in strength of vibes when extra pressure is applied. I would highly recomend this toy!

Here's a thought for you while you continue your eternal wait for the MiMi re-release:
I have the Uma (i.e., MiMi with a handle), and the vibes stand up to pressure well. When I hold the vibrating end, it loses some power into my hand, like all vibrators will. But when I hold the handle... no vibrations lost! The difference isn't tremendous, but it's noticeable. Even if I never used Uma internally, I'd pick it over the MiMi because of this handle business.

I LOVE my Mimi. Alot for the reason that you can apply as much pressure as you want and the vibration stay the same. She's great for that. Great levels of vibration to!

I have Lelo Liv, and I can hold her against my clit by her handle without her vibrations backing off. but I can't ever seem to apply enough pressure that way and I feel like Uma would be the same story. The length doesn't give me the control or pressure I need. I want to try Uma for internal as well, but I don't think she'd work clitorally for me.

Uma is not like that at all. She does not lose her vibrations with any amount of pressure. I would pick Uma any day over Mimi for a clitoral vibe. Mimi lacks in pin pointing, she does not allow for the vibrations to go only to the clit, she vibrates all over, so your hand, clit, and labia all get the same vibrations. I have not noticed that the vibrations defuse from her with pressure, but I do know that Mimi just wasn't the clit vibe for me. Uma has the vibrations mostly at the top of the shape, but there are some throughout the toy. She has a top that is rounded and smaller allowing for more pin pointing and she is stronger than Mimi.

I'm not a pin-point kinda girl. Too much direct stimulation on my clit is a definite drawback for me. Also definitely not a power queen. I like my Liv or my Mia on a setting somewhere in the middle of their range. And I just don't like having to hold something that big against my clit. It's clumsy and distracting and I can't get the kind of pressure I need. Uma doesn't seem like she would work for me clitorally, though, as I said, I do plan on getting her for internal use eventually.
