Question regarding reachargable toys

Contributor: Love Buzz Love Buzz
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not toys that are rechargable are compatible with the power sockets of other countries?

In particular I'm wondering if the fairy rechargable wand massager Linked to here would be compatible with Australian sockets and voltage, or would an adapter be neccessary to be able to use it.

I've seen a large number of other rechargable toys from the fun factory as well as the we vibe that are perfectly fine to plug straight into the wall, but thought I might just ask if anyone else knew anything about it before I order one.

Thanks

Hi Love Buzz,
Fairy rechargeable wandis finally available on edenfantasies.com !
It comes with a US AC plug and you would need an adapter to use it in Australia. There is also an optional USB plug that might soon be available on EF as well.

Most of the rechargeables I have don't come with adapters (including jimmyjane and lelo)... but my beloved SaSi by Je Joue comes with several adapters.... not that I'm too likely to have the opportunity for much overseas travel.

I imagine that most rechargeable toys but in the U.S. would require a power adapter when you travel outside of the country. You can get them on eBay for about $10.

I actually just purchased a toy that is rechargeable, and it came with one adapter - to turn 2 cylindrical posts into 2 equally spaced straight (slightly rectangular) posts, however neither of these ends are compatible with our Australian sockets but as lamira suggested I found a cheap ($1 +free postage!!) plug in adapter.

For anyone else who needs to get power adapters, you need to ensure the voltage of the toy and the voltage of your electricity supply need to be compatible as well as the plug. Luckily our voltage is compatible with most US appliances, but in some countries a voltage converter as well as a plug adapter may be necessary

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but it depends on the toy. None of my LELOs come with adapters (or Funfactory), but my OhMiBod Freestyle came with like five adapters.

I'm glad I don't live in a different country. I think I would sincerely blow myself up with these differing power sockets.

Some of them come with different attachments like the Oh Mi Body came with three different ones I think. I can only use one.

Fun Factory toys work fine with me too, so if they work for you, the Fairy Massager should too. I'm confused why it was said that you'd need an adapter if you said FunFactory worked fine.

I just wasn't sure if the fairy wand would plug into the wall like the fun factory toys Ive bought do (but I did buy those from Australia), just wasn't sure if I would need an adapter or not.

Isn't really an issue now that i've bought an adapter

I like the sound of the USB plug!
Travel agents always sell adapters for different countries needs. But of course they cost a fair bit more than ebay does.

I'll let you know how this cheap one I got off ebay goes.

I think usb recharging could be the way of the future considering they are a universal thing and all.

Cheers. Certainly a cheaper way to go. I'd definately be into the USB recharging. Laptop is always on - might as well boost my toys at the same time...lol.

I'm not sure, but worst case scenario, just buy an adapter for like $15-$20. Based on my knowledge, they should all work that way.
