He gets jealous when a new toy comes in the mail. Not because I have the toy but because I want to try it the first I alone. So my question is this normal?
Question: sometimes my man, gets jealous of toys, does yours?

I think they do get jealous. Well hell, you got a toy and he didn't. My husband actually hid my box in the laundry room!!

It's definitely normal. I know the first time hubby and me used the dildo together, I had to show him how I used it on myself and he got very excited, so it only made it better for us.
They most likely get jealous because they may feel a toy may take over. I know that's what got my hubby jealous at first.

Totally normal. Wouldn't you feel a little bit jealous if your husband had a hobby that you didn't quite completely understand?

It is normal but it can be overcome. Maybe you could sort of meet in the middle? You get to look at it, hold it and really admire it but he can be there when you try it out the first time? I did this for my guys and after a few toys they got pretty bored and now I can use them the first time all alone. I sometimes miss them "helping" though...

I am guessing I am the oddball here as my partner could careless if I use it with him or without him for the first time. Only time I had an issue with this was with my ex husband but he didn't understand sex toys let alone the fact of I don't think he ever used them til he got with me. I know he got jealous cause I would use them without him an we weren't having much sex, this wasn't to replace him it was at the end of our marriage where my needs needed to be met, he had been cheating and I wasn't catching whatever he could have been carrying. Aside from my ex husband I have never had a jealousy issue over my toys. All my other partners welcomed my toys with open arms and hearts

I'm with Camoprincess. My husband likes to see what new things I get and asks how they worked after I've tried them and such. He's never really gotten jealous of my toys. I don't understand getting jealous of toys unless they're replacing sex.

I'm in the same group as Camoprincess & Kira. My man doesn't get jealous when I get new toys. I do prefer trying them out first with him, rather than alone, but we discussed it. He actually felt like it might be better for me to try them alone first, so I could learn the features and functions - but I explained that for me, half the fun is trying it for the first time with him. So he's certainly not jealous in the slightest.
If I started wanting to use my toys more than wanting to be with him... I think we'd have a problem. But since we're still having a healthy sex life, there's no reason to be jealous.

Not at all, mostly because we always try them together

I didn't vote because the question in the title is different from the one in the poll.
No, my man doesn't get jealous and he's enjoying them more and more - with and without me - as time goes by.
Yes, I think it's normal if your man is jealous. It could be jealousy or simply that he feels excluded or doesn't understand why you use toys.

I do think it's normal, but no, my partner doesn't get jealous of my toys. He is really far away, but even when I bring my dildos on trips to see him, he says it's a huge turn on for him. He loves that I get new toys regularly.

I dont think he does I hope he doesnt!

No jealousy because we use all the toys together.

mine does but i hope to get him something so he is not so jelious

It's a normal reaction! My husband doesn't get jealous, but if he did I would understand. We don't like missing out on things with each other. I don't normally use them without him first, so that might be a part of it.
09/26/2012
My ex did, but my current boyfriend does not. He gets almost as excited as I do when he knows I have a package coming, because he knows he'll have something new to use on me.
09/26/2012
My Dom only gets jealous if He can't watch me use it and make awesome commands during my solo sessions lol. He wants me to play with toys more to help open me up down there, because He is pretty damn huge in the penis department.

My husband doesn't care if I try the toy alone first. He tends to rush and not read instructions and I like to get to know the toy before I use it. So, often, I will try the toy alone and then we play with it together.
However, if your husband feels bad that you try the toy alone, why not include him in the trial run of the toy? In those ways he will feel included and you get to play with the new toy with the man you love.
It sounds like a good solution.

I wouldn't

Mine doesn't like the idea of insertable toys and it's a definite no-no on realistic ones. I've been here a year now, so he's coming around, but it has been a slow process.

Does that bug you? I have the opposite problem - he's all about the bigger toys. And then I have to explain but I can't use those materials without condoms and you don't want condoms in the house. So....there aren't very many silicone toys that are thicker than six inches that are actual dildos. Most are plugs and those just aren't as much fun.

Yep, same here. He doesn't mind my toys at all and always asks about how they performed, etc. He even likes to use his own toys on occasion.

My guy never does, least he doesn't show it. He actually seems to like helping me use them as much as I enjoy using them.
09/28/2012
No he does not we are in long distance. I need something to keep me till he gets here.
