The reviews are why I first started visiting EF, I used to waste so much money on vibrators that looked great, but did not work for me. I really use the reviews from people I have noticed like about the same toys I do.How do you use the reviews?
Do you use the reviews to help choose new vibrators?

I use the reviews if I have a question that the description doesn't answer. I just feel that everyone is different, so I don't like to judge weather I would like the product by what others think of it.

Absolutely!

I use the reviews for everything. Most of the time they are helpful

I always read multiple reviews before I buy anything. If I really want it I might buy it anyway, but I like to make informed decisions.

I always read every review before I purchase something unless it is something really popular that has tons of reviews. I'm finally starting to see which community members seem to have similar toy preferences so it is really helpful to read their reviews. This won't work on everything, but I have had very good luck so far.

oh yea. reviews are extremely helpful for me to determine which products i would like more
07/18/2011
Definitely. If I'm considering a specific toy or trying to decide between a couple I read every single review there is. They're probably my biggest source of decision-making info
07/18/2011
I definitely use the reviews when determining which toys are right for me. Nothing like hearing about somebody's first hand experience!
07/18/2011
Oh absolutely, I use the reviews on here when trying to decide on almost anything.
07/18/2011
Usually no, I don't go by the reviews. If I want something, I will sometimes check out what others say, but it won't usually sway my wanting it - unless there's a number of really low ratings from people I know have similar tastes to myself.
But I don't need a huge amount of power to get the job done and I often like toys the majority of people don't.
It's rare that I choose a toy that doesn't actually work for me.

Heck, I read reviews on EVERYTHING before I buy it, even my work supplies and such. I am a cheapie and hate wasting money. I have been writing review for over a year for other companies and discovered ef! I wasted a crap load of money too buying toys. I'll never buy a toy without reading a review ever again! lol

We definitely use the reviews for all toys, not just vibrators, in trying to decide whether in buy something.

I've used reviews to decide purchases, but other times I've purchased without reading any available reviews. I go first by what I know about myself, and I look for reviews from people with similar tastes to my own.
07/18/2011
When I first start looking for a new toy I will look at the ones that I most attracted to but after that point its solely about the reviews. If there were no reviews on EF I would probably not be on this site right now.

I usually read all the reviews before I purchase an item. If someone doesn't like an item, it doesn't mean I will discount it, especially if I know why they didn't like it. But the reviews are very helpful in figuring out whether a particular toy will work for me or not.

From the toys I bought before I joined up with EF I went a-searching who liked the same items, then kindof stalked those people a while, reading their reviews on toys, and some of their posts and even their blogs. Simply because I wanted to know if they liked practically all the toys I liked for the same reasons I liked them.
Then I decided to place my first order using the reviews of those I decided knew my body without even meeting me. And yes, it took some research and a lot of reading, but as someone said before me, it was better to do this research and not waste the money.
Turns out all my research has paid off. I have only bought one toy out of the many I have purchased that was just too small for me. And I bought it because it was pretty not because of the reviews so it was my own fault!!!!

I usually just add the toy I'm considering to the comparison, so I can see everyone's pros and cons...it's much faster, especially when I'm considering multiple similar toys. If I really can't decide I'll read a few reviews, usually the ones that rated it highest and lowest.

I got dissuaded from buying a toy only once by the reviews. It was one of those double ended Evolved toys. There were complaints about it being weak despite eating 4AAAs. I bought a Jessica Rabbit slim instead. It's passable.
I usually at least look at the cons section.

I mostly purchase by brand recognition.

I love the reviews. Good reviews explain WHY they like or didn't like the item in detail. Sometimes, something a reviewer didn't like actually ends up being a plus for me! I read as many reviews as possible. But then, I like expensive toys and don't want to invest without researching obsessively about it!

I rely heavily on the user reviews. Thank you to all.
01/18/2012
I read reviews for all toys I'm interested in.

I especially buy rechargeable toys and pay close attention to the battery comments.

The reviews are what brought me to EF to start with, and that was a few years ago. I didn't become a member until recently when I was looking at buying a nicer toy again and found out they had the points program here. I rely on the reviews a lot to decide if I will get something or not if it is a pricier product.
01/23/2012
I use them less than I used to. It depends on the product.
01/23/2012
Yes, reviews are great

yep
