I finally caved in and bought the Hitachi with my last order. Before my order arrived, I located a sex toy store in my area that carried the thing so I could see how powerful it was. I think my clitoris literally crawled inside of me when I turned it on. I'm terrified to use it, I honestly think on the lowest setting is entirely too strong for me. So now the Hitachi sits on my desk, unopened, while I debate this weekend seeing if I want to return it. I could always use it for massage, but the two attachments I ordered would be completely useless.
Have any of you ran into this? Thought you really wanted something, and then when it arrived, kind of changed your mind? I guess that's why there are return policies, but I still feel guilty.

Er, you know me. I don't like the Hitachi, so I'm on the sidelines trying not to cheer. :x
I've had toy regret, before. When I first got into sex toys, I made all sorts of bad purchases -- buying too big, too small, too weak... I dislike the label "beginner toy" SO MUCH because of that. I bought 'beginner toys' when I was beginning. I seriously thought I was malfunctioning, because they were 'for beginners' and I couldn't get off.
I think specifically? I wish I hadn't bought all the huge toys and the weak toys. The weak toys could never work for me, and the huge toys caused me physical pain. I think I've spent several hundred dollars on sex toys before I gave up for many years on them.
Maybe try an 'inside' attachment for your Hitachi? I'm debating trying that, next, because I know I like intense G spot stimulation -- it doesn't make me come, but it feels nice. (I have to admit, I'm starting to think I'm beating a dead horse, buying attachments for a toy I don't like.)
