There seems to be a lot of complaints about it not functioning with new batteries. Can anyone attest to this? Also, what exactly does the description mean by "bendable" Is it floppy? Is there a wire in it? I've never had a non-glass toy, so I was curious.

Just opened mine and put in a pair of brand new batteries - if you put in one battery with "+" up and one with "-" up, it should work. Mine worked for a grand total of 30 seconds, just holding the vibe in my hands, before completely stopping. I tried another set of new batteries, but the vibe just stopped working; it wouldn't even buzz a little bit with the second set of batteries.

It isn't floppy, but it is bendable; it will be naturally upright but you can bend the shaft, although it won't hold a bent position. The bullet is in the end of the vibe, and I think it's just a really poor connection with the wires that causes it to "break." Anyone else have any ideas?

MsGoosie,

I tried that as well. Mine is working now. I eperienced what you are, with it shutting off after a few seconds. It mentions on the box to tighten the cap well. If it is too tight it will not work, but too loose...

You have to have it in between to work right, which is kind of weird, but whatever. I am just glad it works now! They don't specify how the batteries go so that is really confusing. My instinct was to put them both + down since it has springs in the bottom. Without you, I would still be clueless.. haha

It's good to hear that the problem may be solved. I'll be placing an order tomorrow and hopefully some of these will be in stock so I can try it out as well. *crosses fingers* (With my luck they will run out, haha!)

Haha I had the same trouble with the batteries at first! The "+" and "-" was my last try; I wish the package had better, or any, instructions. Just tried out my vibe again with your advice about the cap, but no luck over here! (I'm glad to hear that you got yours working, though.) Whether I have the cap extremely tight, a bit loose, or somewhere in the middle, the little sucker refuses to work again. I got another dud toy in my package, so I'll be sending both back and, hopefully, both replacements will work.

That's no good! Hopefully they will get the replacements to you quickly.

Mine should be here today, hope it works! I wish all toys had little diagrams of how to put the batteries in printed on them! Or at least clear instructions!

Make sure you're putting in the batteries correctly, that was my first problem (one "+" side up, one "-"). MissZombie had to adjust the tightness of the cap on hers in order to get hers to work, so give that a try, too. The controls on the cap were a little tough on mine, but you should be able to turn the circle on the side of the cap to the right, and then left again to turn it off; the further right, the more intense the vibration. It's set flush with the cap, so it's a bit difficult to turn; think of it like the wheel on an iPod, use a bit more pressure, and you should be able to get things going. Hope that helps

Just got ours today and had a couple of problems with the batteries as well. So we got on eden and looked at this for instruction. The biggest problem was that the inside of the battery compartment made it look like they both went in either "+" or "-" side down.

Once we got it figured out though, it seems to be working well. The vibrations are quite strong.

I didn't find mine had a problem at all. I started with the opposite directions for my batteries and it worked well. The vibrations at the top level are nicely strong.

Just like the rest of you guys, i had a huge problem with batteries. I tried every combination of both up, both down, one up and one down, the reversed them one up and one down.. THIS was with rechargeable batteries fully charged. I think that since the rechargeables have flat bottoms rather than a grooved bottome that traditional batteries have, it just wasnt making contact. I then used brand new regular batteries and it worked for a few seconds and then stopped. So, i tried adjusting the cap a little and it works fine now, BUT i was reading above that some of you said it had pretty strong vibrations. This isnt true for mine. The vibrations are extremely weak. So week, in fact, that once i got it going, i was still fully clothed and put it to my crotch on the outside of my jeans and could barely feel a tiny vibration, and this was on the highest setting. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Mine wont turn on but im hopeful. As for the bendiness, its firm at the head/tip because theres a motor, or something metal in there. mine wont turn on so im not positive. then the middle is soft, then the handle/base has another hard compartment for batteries. Ita a pleasurable texture tho. And because the tip is firmer it is easy to insert.

I had issues with mine at first but yeah, it was just a matter of figuring out how to put the batteries in. I really like it so far. The material feels nice and the vibrations are just the right intensity for me.

Oh, you have no idea. I'm so disappointed in this toy! It's way too weak for me.

I'm actually wondering if anybody else has had the issue with the control pad not wanting to turn, or turning the vibe off randomly?
Or when you bend it at all, it just turns off..

Great concept, just very poorly executed.

I screwed the cap on to tight and it wouldnt work so I just loosened it a tiny bit and it worked fine but I still do not really like the toy.

Once I got the batteries in the right way I haven't had any problems with this toy. I love it actually.

The problem is that it's extremely finicky to get it working- the batteries aren't the problem [we switched them out three times thinkin they were]: what you need to do is insert the batteries one up, one down, then turn the vibration on [turn the dial] THEN secure the end on... if you slowly screw the end into place you'll feel when the vibrations start. It's easy to do too much or too little.

No, not floppy, it just doesn't have a solid core, so the firm rubber is bendable in the middle where the base doesn't stick up and the bullet isn't lodged [at the tip ]

I, too, had issues with the batteries at first, but then after my husband used it on me and I cleaned it afterward, it started working beautifully. I've had mine for about two weeks, and husband insists on using it on me every single night, even if he's not in the mood! This has turned out to be my favorite toy, as it's something he and I can share and use together. It's fun, the design is lovely, and it bends in just the right places to reach those specific areas. I am also pleased with the intensity of the vibrations, usually starting out about 1/2 then working up to full.

when i first got mine, the vibes in it worked, with the batteries in (with one battery in + up, one in - up: one pos one neg up). I didn't try the toy out then, just played with it in my hands as I planned to regift it to a friend. Then, a month later, having sat in the original packaging without batteries it wouldn't work. NoW it's working again!! yay, using energizer batteries btw. The vibrations are nice buzzy, moderately strong, and quiet. I worry that bending it much would cut off the circuitry if it's already so finicky though, which makes the toy less versatile, but it's still awesome 'peshully for a free gift.
