Toy discovered and hiding techniques

Contributor: indiechick indiechick
So I have been getting ALOT of boxes for eden lately, a few reviews this month, a buy out AND I won a giveaway. So lots of boxes from the same place. I have very nosey roommates who so "saved" a box from the rain and it "came open" Now I'm not going to call the cops because my roomies opened my mail but I must say I have never been so thankful for discreet toy packaging in my life. Today my deux arrived in the mail and it comes in a plane black box with a purple band around it. I caught them before they could open it (thank-god) told them it was a makeup kit and ran upstairs thankfully they are boys and haven't asked about it.

So my discussion post to you is

1: Have your toys ever been found?

2: What are some hiding tricks?

I keep my toys in a neon lime green toolbox in plain sight in my bedroom. If people want to traumatize themselves by snooping through my stuff, they deserve what they get.

I had my roommate walk in on me making a video review once! Luckily it was just of some aftershave... But I can't imagine what she thinks I do in my spare time, talking to my webcam about strange beauty products...

Other than that, my Mum opened a box once, luckily she just saw that it wasn't something that she ordered and handed it right to me. My mum's the least nosy person in the world, lucky for me!

I have a spare drawer underneath my bed in my apartment. Unfortunately, the drawer can't be locked, but I am considering buying a big ottoman that is hollow on the inside then putting my toys in there with a couple of small blankets to cover and hide them but I am still not sure how good that will work.

I have draws under my bed and I don't have to worry about anyone snooping. But if I had to hide them I would try and put them in places that are obvious but not. Like if I was in a dorm and there were lots of boxes of clothes and what not I would get a plain card board box and put them in there and just say its clothes. Or in my closet I would hide them in the back corner where no one digs. Idk I have never had to hide my toys before. But I like the idea of making it obvious to where no one would look.

Ohhh and talking about toys and being found and card board boxes.... My husband and I used to have my husband's best friend live with us. And when we all first moved into our house we had a house warming/birthday bash for me. One of my friends was curious about one of my vibrator so I went to show her. Well drunk me decided not to put it away and to put it in the empty boxes that needed to be cut down later. A few days later my husbands best friend and I were cutting down all the boxes when all the sudden he goes "Wow... Ok did not need to see that and I am not going to cut down that box..." He then hands the box over to me and talk about embarrassing... Luckily he was very kewl with it afterwards and all was forgotten. Or at least we pretend its all forgotten lol!

You could get a post office box? That way your roommates won't receive your mail.

Nope, I keep people out of my room and then just leave them around but luckily people do stay out.
