Upgraged toys, version 2.0 or more

If you have a favorite toy, and they make changes/improvements to the design and sell the updated version, do you buy the upgrade? If yes, how long do you wait? Do you wait at all?

If not, why not?

It depends how the upgrade is. Generally I will wait to see what the reviews say about the upgraded version, to see if it's worth the money.

For instance, I LOVE my Mimi, but I have not purchased an upgraded version. It just doesn't seem worth it TO ME, since I already have one version that gets me off just fine.

It would totally depend! It'd depend mostly on what I disliked about it & what the new changes were. If they upgraded a Noa (stronger, better battery life) I'd buy it no doubt. Also a Sqweel if they upgraded it to where the flappers wouldn't stop so easily. And let's see... I'd consider buying an upragded version of Zini Deux if they made it a whole hell of a lot stronger and with a softer inner side.

I would if there was significant changes like a stronger motor or added waterproofness.

I agree with the others, it would have to be a significant improvement over what I had & I would have to be dissatisfied with what I had compared to it.

I recently bought the rechargeable version of a battery rabbit I own because I didn't want to pay for batteries after discovering how much I loved it. So, even if the new version was just a rechargeable version, I'd upgrade.

Usually NO unless the upgrade has made changes that make the toy unbelievably amazing. Most of the 2.0 changes I have seen are minor adjustments that might be nice.

I also wait for reviews. I likely would never pay full price for an upgraded toy, but I'd definitely tryyy one for free to review d=
