I think an increasing amount of people look for partners online these days. In that case, it takes a lot of screening and "interviewing" (especially face-to-face) to find a good match, and even then, you often want to ask for recent health documentation for verification that the person is disease free. It may seem rude, but as you mentioned, it's your body and you need to keep it safe!
