Think of the following factors:
1. Do you like vibrations inside you or on your gspot, or just on your clit, or all of the above?
2. Do you like a duller more broad vibration, or do you get off on a more pinpoint vibration on clit?
3. How intense of a vibration do you need?
Hope that helps narrow down your choices!

I was going to ask a few of the same questions that someone above did.
It really depends on what you prefer. Does something soft like silicone interest you or something hard like plastic? A discreet vibe for clitoral use or something for penetration or both? Texture or no texture? What kind of shape? A g-spot tip or no? A variety of vibrations/patterns or something minimal like a bullet?
I personally think Flutter and Sugar are great first dual action vibrators, but you may not be looking for something that stimulates both internally and externally-simultaneou sly. Flutter has been a fav of mine for a very long time.
As for G-spotting toys, it depends on how your body reacts. Me, I only need a slight curve or something with a ball like shape at the end. Others need something with more pin pointed tips. Envie might be a great vibe for first timers! I LOVE that vibrator. It's a great size, not big at all. It has a very wide variety of speeds and settings to choose from and is strong enough to get most women "there." I would recommend it if you're looking for something of that size and with a G-spot tip. The tip is flexible and it's very user-friendly. I say that because it's not the type of toy that's limited to only beginners. It's smallish though, which I prefer because larger vibes do nothing for me. It may be a great choice though.
