Why do you think there is such a difference of opinion about how strong different vibes are?

It was more of a general statement. Generally-speaking, the older you are/more experienced you are with vibrators, the stronger vibrations you need.
Not in my case. I'm older and do not include vibrating toys in every session; I only need half the strength from the same toy others complain aren't strong enough.

And that is why it is "generally".

I definitely think the buzzy vs. rumbly thing has something to do with it. I've had a few vibes that were very strong, but so buzzy I couldn't really get off with them.

Definitely the first two, and sensitivity of course. :]

Whereas I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. While I don't need this kind of strength, I can tolerate a Hitachi even with my hood pulled back, and I'm only 23.

Our bodies interpret vibration differently, and like different type of vibrations.
