Are you older or younger than your significant other?

He's 6 months older. XD Not into huge age gaps.

He's 14 years older than me, and I love it. At first, I was a bit off-put by the big gap, but the truth is - we're just pretty perfect for each other. Doesn't matter what the age difference is.

My husband is 15 years younger than me. It bothered me at first and I tried to end our relationship when I discovered HOW MUCH younger he was. But he didn't care about the age difference, he knew that he wanted me and wasn't going to give up. And he was such a wonderful person that I couldn't resist. However, since he was only 22 and still hadn't quite graduated college, I made sure we took things slowly. Even after he graduated college, I told him he needed to live on his own for a year before he could move in with me. After that year, he did move in with me. And three and a half years after we met, we got married and have been happily married for over five years now.

Every once in a while something happens that draws attention to our age difference, but it's usually something minor like me mentioning a tv show that was popular in the seventies or something. Most of the time it doesn't make a difference at all. Fortunately, his father and sister both accepted me immediately. His mother still has problems with me, but oh well... Both our sets of friends were very supportive and even to this day comment on how cute we are together.

He is 13 years older, and no it doesn't affect our relationship at all.

I am 11 months younger. No it doesn't play a significant role, other than that we are about the same age. I'm interested in playing with some folks who are totally not in my age range, but haven't done it yet.

My ex is 9 years younger than me. We clicked pretty amazingly well; the differences we had were mostly due to lifestyle, background and upbringing. Life experience also played a part: I had my first kid at 18, so by the time I was his age at the time we met (he was 24) I had already been raising a kid, been engaged twice and married once and was engaged again. When we met he'd never been married and his longest relationship had lasted 3 months.

So, the significant impact on our relationship wasn't age difference but what he had been doing before we met that ended up affecting us (addiction).

We are approximately the same age. I'm 3 1/2mo's older than my husband, but that doesnt make a difference. I'm 9 1/2 mo's older than my best male friend too and we're the best of friends. I don't think it matters.
