He's two years older than me, but it doesn't affect us much. I think if we'd started dating in high school or college then it would've seemed like a huge gap, but not now.

My largest age difference was 18 years and it was a problem, which is why it didn't work. When it was just us we never had a problem and my friends and most of the small town we lived in were very excepting, but his work wasn't and comments they made eventually got under his skin and the little things like the bands I love I was to young to ever have actually seen them in person, or my favorite movies were different. Little things that shouldn't have mattered but because society cared ended a good relationship and in the end tore apart a friendship.
My father dated a women close to my age (25 years his junior) and I can honestly say that freaks me out. I don't believe that at that point age can't be a factor.
