As I'm one of those women who is married to a man who is my father's age. And my hubby has children close to my age. It doesn't bother me. People like who they like and age has nothing to do with it.

What ever makes two people happy. Who am I to judge if someone found their other half...it isn't all about age.

That would be incredibly inappropriate for them because they're a lot older than I am and I'm pretty young. We are talking 60 year old with 20 year old inappropriate....

If my mother found a man that made her feel like she is the only woman in the world, loved, cared for, desired, a man that was so passionate about her and made her light up like the sun? Anyone who had anything to say about his age would have to answer to me. And that goes for my judgemental sisters too.
But I would be sure to tell her that I am very jealous of her, but am deliriously happy for her. After her marriage to my father... she deserves it. And who am I to say who she is with?

I can't stand that my father brought home a lady friend closer to my age than to his, she is young enough to be his daughter and people ask us if we are sisters. its just creepy

It wouldn't bother me (considering I prefer men 10+ years older), but I know my parents well enough that it's not in their personalities to be interested in anyone of my generation. (Not that I really blame them, as I'm not interested, either.)

I'd say go for it! But my mother tends to skew the other direction in her likes...older men only. Where did I go wrong with her?

Some years their divorce, my mom and dad both dated people close to my age. Mom wound up married to a guy about a year older than me. It didn't bother me at all. He's good to her and she's happy, so all's well in my opinion.
Dad's still dating women of all ages, and he's happy with that so I say good for him too.

This happened to my friends and I think that it caused some serious problems. Their mum was about 40 and divorced their dad, and she started dating someone that we played Pokemon with. Their PEER. He was 18, I was 16, her oldest was 15.
So this is what I say; it's 100% okay as long as it's not one of your teenage sons best friends.

Nah, it wouldn't bother me. But then again I've always been attracted to people that where much older then me (15-20 years older).

Also, my mom has a tendency to treat people my age or younger as children, so it would be very awkward, but the age gap alone isn't really the issue.
