I think it's possible that some guys don't. I know an asexual guy who doesn't masturbate, doesn't want sex, can't get turned on, etc. And some guys may not believe in doing so but believe in having sex only.

It's probably not as common as it is with women, but I think that yes, some guys just don't masturbate.

My husband used to masturbate often before we met. We have a very active sex life and he says he doesn't feel the need to satisfy himself any longer, and it feels better when we do it together. I didn't believe him for a long time, but he has no reason to lie to me, I wouldn't be upset if he did.

When I am in a relationship I dont masturbate unless it is with the other person. When my boyfriend and I were long distances I would go months without getting off at a time.

Even asexuals? Lots of assumptions on this topic, and some of them are frankly insulting.

Everyone is different, and just because it's something you love to do, or it's something normal to do, or something healthy to do doesn't mean everyone has done it, or will do it, or wants to do it.

Wait... has he NEVER masturbated, or is it just that he has, but doesn't anymore? I ask this because I've gone through periods in my life where I'd masturbate extremely regularly, and then I just wouldn't. There were periods where I'd have years between masturbation sessions. Granted, I have a mood disorder. So that might be why.

Like others have said, maybe he was brought up to believe it is a shameful act.

Also, I'm curious as to if he has ever slept with anyone before.

Maybe there is a bigger problem, maybe there isn't. I think we'd have to know more about the situation to provide you with better advice. Either way, I wish you the best of luck. And honestly, even if there is a problem, it might be something you two can work out. Perhaps you could "show him the ropes" when he's ready.

Totally possible he's telling the truth. Everyone has different levels of sex drive, different religious ideals, and different mental hangups. It would be silly to think every guy in the world has the same behavior when it comes to masturbation.

Have I heard that babies and small kids will naturally play with themselves? I suppose that doesn't count though. I think it's certainly possible, though I'm guessing it's a very small percentage!

I would find it highly unlikely that a guy who is over 20 has never masturbated. It seems likely that some don't do it on a regular basis exspecialy if they have sex often. Even when I get as much sex as I want I still like to beat it once in a while.
