I remember the survey and I also took part. One problem was the very small number of contributers, which doesn't make the average size very significant and relyable.

A further proble I see is the measuring system and the rounding. If you are rounding up to the full inch there will be a huge error. Maybe measuring in milimeters would be more accurate.

Furthermore it was not clear how to measure. To be scientific relyable you should measure the erect lengt with the penis in a horizontal position. This will give the highest and most accurate value.
