My husband and I were reading a relationship book tonight. The book states that if a Man does not have sex for 72 hours he gets more lustful or has a wandering eye. It is harder for Men to ignore other women or images of other women according to this book. One man said that when he goes on a weeklong business trip, he has sex with his wife on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday, he does not have any issues with noticing other women or wanting to watch porn. On Wednesday he is flipping through the porn channels on the hotel TV and noticing every hot woman around.

My husband said that he did not notice this with me because I always want to have sex with him. He said that he doesn't recall it happening in the past but did not pay much attention to it. So I was wondering if our EF forum would provide some insight.

Obviously everyone is different. I don't think there's a specific 72 hour rule. Yes, if I go long periods without se I'm going to be a little more "lustful", but I don't even think I have a "hard and fast" time frame for this.

I'm a woman, and I notice that my boyfriend does have more desire after 72 hours. It may be because of our age (he's 22), but he will get feverish like a hungry dog after a week apart.

I think this is true. Sometimes in less than 72 hours. For me I notice hot women all the time. Just makes me want my wife more though.

As the days go by, it seems natural that anyone would start thinking about sex....but I don't find that an excuse for a wandering eye or an indiscretion (not that you said that, just putting that out there). I notice it myself after a day or two.

My hubby can go months with out wanting sex. Its happened before. and not by my choice. We went a year and a half with out it once :/

I'm going to change my answer. I've been taking Maca Root, LongJax MHT with Arginine, Tribulus Terrestris and eating Goji Berries for about month now. My desire is definitely less than 72 hours now.

Certainly different then my man. His desire is measured in hours, not days or weeks.
