That's highly individual, and it depends on your specific wiring, ability to find the prostate, and prior experiences.

The more you worry about it the harder it will be, so the best way is probably to sit back (or lay back, or however you want to be) and pay attention to the feelings and what feels good. It does help (both for finding the prostate and enjoying it) if you are sexually excited first.

As far as orgasms go that's also something that no one can say for certain. It took me years, but once I had my first one they became much easier to have. First off, welcome to Eden! As far as P-play goes, I'd say I enjoyed it from about the first time I tried (although that was solo play, so I had more control over the situation than if, say, a partner was doing it), though I haven't had a P-spot orgasm yet.
