I use three of those methods, I trim, wax and shave depending on what I feel like and what's appropriate.

I waxed once. NEVER AGAIN.
Now I just trim it real short with scissors to make it easier to shave.

Clippers. Just use the right attachment and it only takes a few seconds, nice and simple.

I have the hubby trim it up..hey it's not all fun and games down there, some times there is clean up work to do.

My skin, esp there, is highly sensitive. I can shave 100%, but then can't for another couple weeks or I'll bleed and it will hurt really bad. So usually, I use the razor with the trimmer end and just keep it trimmed as short as I can, and then every now and then shave all the way.

I shave. I've never tried to wax or anything. Waxing scares me. As for shaving, I do it once a week, when I shave my legs and underarms. I don't like having hair and I prefer those I'm with to shave, or at least trim, as well. However, I've only been with a couple people so far that shaved or trimmed. If they don't do either, I just suck it up.
If I shave sooner than a week, I wind up cutting myself because not all the hairs have made it through the skin, so I usually have some bumps, and then the skin covering those bumps gets shaved. Not fun.
