Even though I have been on the pill for many years and using it correctly, I've always been really paranoid about getting pregnant so we still always pull out when he finishes. Am I the only paranoid one or does anyone else do this too?
Do you pull out even if you're on the pill?

My husband and I are fluid bound, so we use withdrawal as a birth control method.
I have used hormonal birth control in the past, and we never used withdrawal while I was using these other methods. I took my pills every day at the same time, never skipped one and there was certainly no reason to even worry at all when I was on Depo Provera (although it temporarily destroyed my sex drive.)
It's up to you to use what methods you are comfortable with.

just wondering, what exactly does fluid bound mean? just that you've had unprotected sex? i've never heard of it outside EF.

Looking into that. Otherwise we're always using condoms.

I'm "other." I'm on the pill but require a condom since pills don't protect against STDs/STIs.

I can't vote really because I have an IUD and that's all I use. Anyhow, when I was on the pill I never pulled out. Maybe a few times when I was near what would be my ovulation period. I found out later that it was pointless (not pulling out, but my "timing"). But it does help to use both methods together and I recommend it. Just use a condom to protect you from STDS.

No. That is why I got on birth control. I know something could always happen anyway but I'm engaged to the person I love, we would rather wait to get married and have our own place but it wouldn't be bad if we got pregnant before then so we don't do the pull out.

Fluid bonded means that you exchange fluids with your partner. That means if you don't use contraception for intercourse and oral you are exchanging fluids, so are fluid bonded.

I was on the pill, but we did not use pull out as a back up, however it is a good idea to use two forms at the same time.

Fluid bonded already.

We use condoms as backup. I'm super paranoid about getting pregnant, and there are still STDs...

I take birth control only.

Birth control, though I sometimes end up pulling out anyway
06/11/2012
Pulling out is really risky, I got pregnant after only doing that twice. Some form of hormonal birth control plus condoms is probably safest, especially if you're not in an exclusive fluid-bonded relationship.

I am currently not on anything but I choose the not pulling out even when on the pill. TO be honest birth control or no birth control I don't like them pulling out because I love the feel of being cummed in

Since my BF and I use condoms, pulling out would be pretty much pointless. I am also on the pill but that doesn't product against STI/STDs.

The numbers aren't 100%, but close enough for me.

We are just starting to get away from pulling out even though I am on the pill.
