I have a new female playmate, and am female myself. She has a latex allergy, and an STI. I'm aware of the latex alternative condoms available, but haven't been able to find dental dams or anything of that nature. I've heard mention of cutting open condoms into improvised dams, however I've also heard complaints about the taste or smell of some latex alternatives. I was wondering if anyone with allergies, or a partner with allergies, might have some advice or experience. I'd like to spare her rashes and myself taste-testing unpleasant plastics if possible! I'd also love to hear feedback on the best non-latex condoms as well, so I can pass that on to her.

My favorite Non-latex condoms are Skyn by Lifestyles and Avanti by Durex. With Skyn being my favorite by far.

Female condoms (they are non-latex) are larger and could be cut for use as a dental damn.

If your partner has an STI you will want to use nitrile gloves - these come in blue and purple most often. You can find them in bulk online or even at Walgreen's in the first aid section.

"Hot Dam" makes non-latex, polyurethane dental dams and you can buy them on Amazon and Undercover Condoms. I've never used them as I've only used Glyde (latex) because I've never been in a situation where I was using a dam with person with a sensitivity.
