When having sex for the first time with a new partner, do you use the condom?

I am very curious to know how it is for the majority when it comes to condom use. If you are not sure, just take the answer that would be what goes on for you most of the time. You are welcome to leave comments as well!

I use condoms with new partners every time. I don't consider stopping condom use until after I have seen recent STI testing results with that particular partner.

Absolutely use a condom the first time with a new partner - not negotiable! It's been a long time since I've had a new partner (current one has been around for almost 19 years LOL) but my deal is/was at least 6 months with barrier protection + test results before losing the condoms while continuing my birth control pills.

Ditto. In addition to safety & possibility of pregnancy, condom use for me is very important because I maintain a fluid bond with my primary partner.

Yes! Good thinking! I guess that it is very important as trust is determinant when it comes to health in sexual relationships... having clear boundaries or arrangement consolidates that trust.

Absolutely yes. I don't even consider going condomless with male partners until we've both been tested and we've discussed the terms of our relationship (monogamous, causal, etc).

I ALWAYS use a condom no matter what! I still use condoms with my SO of more than 2 years. I have a phobia of getting pregnant during this time of my life

When I have sex with cismen I always use a condom with partners unless we've talked about it and are both fully aware that we are clean and have been checked since our last partner(s). I do the same with people with strap ons but if they had sterilized it beforehand I would go without.

While i answered "yes, always, no matter what," i feel its kind of hypocritical for me to not mention that i have twice had an encounter with a stranger and we did not use protection or talk about sexual history (such as discussing stds) and it was very very immature and irresponsible for me to have done.
