No soap - straight water is best. You don't want to upset your intestinal flora or chemistry.

Gunsmoke is right; the anal cavity and the vagina have their own bacteria that they need to keep them healthy and balanced. Plain water as an anal douche is alright, as long as you don't do it too much. Soap, alcohol, coffee and other crazy things should be left alone in regards to that area.
