Breastfeeding and sex.

So I am currently breastfeeding my son. Well during sex I have been keeping to wearing a bra because of leaking.

Does anyone have any ideas on helping with the leaking during sex so no bra is necessary? Or is it a given that leaking will happen no matter what during sex?

From my experience leaking is a given. It did get better, as in less, the older the babies got.

Could you express some milk (either manually or with a pump) before you're intimate? If you've just fed baby or have pumped milk, you'll be less likely to leak. I would also avoid breast play for a little while once the bra is removed to help prevent stimulation turning into a let down.

Is it more of a bother to you, or to your husband? How old is your baby?

I will have to try that. I think maybe I am just scared to let him touch my boobs because I don't want them to leak. They leaked enough when the baby was first born I do not want a repeat performance of being soaked.

It is a bother to me, I am not sure if it would bother him though. The baby is 6 months old.

From my own experience, leaking happened no matter what I did during sex, so I just took off the bra and stopped worrying.
