Birth control AND condoms. I've known a couple women who've gotten pregnant while using BOTH, so I'd rather use two methods together to reduce the risk.

I was on depo for 3 years. didnt have my period at all until the 3rd year when i began having break through bleeding for 2 weeks straight once a month. I got so sick of it i went on the dreaded pill and have been having an obnoxious regular period ever since. I loved the first couple years of depo. I plan on getting back on it eventually. I had weight gain and zero libido tho but i feel like those can be preventative.

I use birth control and we use condoms. We definitely want to be as safe as we can. Neither of us are ready to be a parent.

I have lost some bone density, but I was already anemic and low on iron.
So, with some vitamins I'm doing fine.
I just have to press myself to eat more meat and veggies, and then drink a lot of milk.

Oreos help, lol.

I can't seem to take any pill/shot, it messes me up really bad. Weird leaking/bleeding ALL the time, never stops. I know that sounds gross but the doctors can't figure it out either. I happened to lose my insurance in the middle of all the testing and seeing specialists. Im currently fighting the medical system I can not get help close by, I have to fill out stacks of paper work on hopes to get approved to travel a two hours away to get help to figure out what is wrong with me. But if im on no birth control my body is fine. I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years and at the moment we dont want kids.

To add to the problem now that I'm off birth control my sex drive has gone way up. We both are happy that it has gone up, when I was on birth control I really didn't have a sex drive.

There should be a pill to make sperm not active! Birth control for men

I'm currently on Tri-Sprintec, and my boyfriend and I use condoms.

I'm probably going to switch off of Tri-Sprintec because I've gained 20 pounds since I started using it this past July. It's mostly in my thighs, breasts, and then some in my tummy and upper arms. My boyfriend thinks I look great, but I'm kind of annoyed that a lot of my old clothes don't fit any more! The other birth control pills that I've tried in the past didn't cause me to gain weight, but they had other undesirable side effects.

I'd like to get an IUD one day.

I have the Mirena IUD and I LOVE it. I don't have any periods, cramps, or PMS. I'm in that lucky 20%. I used Desogen before I had the IUD. Desogen was good too, but I still had PMS and heavy periods, perfect skin though.

I have issues with hormones. Basically I can't take them because of heart problems. I use condoms every time and track my fertility.

Multiload IUD which uses copper. Can't stand hormones. 1st time with a pill=severely depressed. Decided never again. Then tried nuvaring which was great to start with but after several months became a nightmare because I bled on and off for a month. But I guess everyone's reaction to these things is different. Also although it is meant to be really rare my first IUD perforated and I needed surgery to get it removed and I get heavier periods and more menstrual pain with my IUD.

Before we got married, we used birth control pills and condoms every time. Now we're relying on birth control pills alone.

Nuva Ring all the time. Best birth control ever. Well for me. No pills to remember and low hormone.

I've always used birth control pills AND condoms. I'm on birth control for period regulation, and the extra protection of a condom never hurts!

I'm on the Pill, and I also use a condom every single time. No exceptions.

I have the mirena IUD but I don't really like it. I have cramping sometimes, but I have no warning when or if my period will start, and it's usually just enough spotting for me to ruin my underwear =/ I keep thinking I'm pregnant because I just don't have any regular periods =/

I have had an IUD since November 2010 and frequently experience cramping, and when I get my period I sometimes spot for two weeks. I have gotten an ultrasound, and it is placed correctly so I'm unsure why I have these side effects. Too bad I am not one of the women that lose their periods altogether. Despite the disadvantages, I do love that it's the most effective and I never have to remember to take a pill or anything.

I am on the Nuva Ring. I am forgetful and I would always fluctuate in the times I would take the pill. With the Nuva Ring I never have cramps, I know the exact time I'm going to start, and it's a very short period. It's one of the best things to happen to me. Oh and you don't feel it at all.

I don't know what mine currently is, I just moved and I can't find it, which is not a big deal as I'm not currently sexually active. I just know it's some generic for some that has a bunch of estrogen in it, or else I'd have too much testosterone. Yay for a hormonal imbalance.

I'd like to get the Depo-Provera shot again, was nice to not have to worry about swallowing pills (I'm horrible at it.) and I had no ill-effects. It's a shame it's gotten a bad reputation, it seems less places are willing to provide it because of that and that makes it more expensive then pill birth control.

What I'd really like is to either get an IUD or my tubes tied. But I've been told since I was 16 (25 now) that doctors wouldn't consider it due to my age.. that surely I'd change my mind and want children... Nope, still hasn't changed. I'd be willing to sign an affidavit in blood stating I'm sure I want it done. If I ever want children, I'll adopt..
