Have you/would you have labiaplasty?

Not sure if your comment was in general or to someone or me specifically, but I assure you no one has ever told me mine need attention other than myself. I think sex would be more comfortable and enjoyable if mine were somewhat altered. That's the reason for my inquiry.

That's so fascinating and I agree, beautiful. Indeed we are all different, and nothing wrong with that. I don't want to look like a porn star. I just think physically sex would be even more enjoyable for me if mine were altered.

I like mine the way it is.

I understand some women have this surgery because their natural shape causes them pain with clothing or during sex in which case it's perfectly understandable. I think having a labiaplasty simply to try to get "the ideal" isn't a very good idea though.

I kind of want one, because one side is waaaay longer than the other and it really bugs me. But it's just a 'for looks' thing, and not a 'for esteem' thing, so I doubt itt'l ever happen. :3

Maybe if I had an injury or everything was hanging to my knees. Otherwise I see no reason.

Never had it, tho at times i consider it as one side is waaaay oversized compared to the others, and it pokes out and sometimes gets rubbed to the point it's dry and numb.

Welcome to the OC, the land of plastic. i can't wait to move out of here, and Cali as a whole, someday, and I've lived here all my life.

I find most doctors around here to be rather scatterbrained, too.

Sorry it's so uncomfortable! That would really stink.

I'm echoing Angel's comment, it's not always for aesthetics. I think when the time does come for it, I will get one. I have my own ideal for my cunt, and I would like to preserve that in whatever way is possible

I think all vulvas are a little weird, but so long as there are no malformations and no medical reason, I see no purpose in labiaplasty.

As for myself, I have no problem with my vulva. It doesn't get in my way, works as it should, and my boyfriend loves it.

I've considered it but I'm too much of a 'pussy' to get anything done.

I've gone back and forth about wanting one for a long time.

I hate my inner labia. They're too big. I think they're ugly and unsexy. No one can sell me otherwise. Every word you could possibly use to describe them in a "positive" way are disgusting to me. Repulsively disgusting. I feel them frequently and it's uncomfortable. Not painful, but uncomfortable. Mostly because it just heightens my awareness that they fucking suck. They get in the way during sex and make it harder to be completely lubricated even though I'm usually soaking wet. They get tugged around and that doesn't feel sexy either. I can't masturbate with my hands anymore because feeling the skin tug around under my fingers is disgusting. I hate it. I want it gone

But the risk is a lot. I don't have the money. And people like you all shaming people like me about wanting to do it.

Mine barely protrude so if I had labiaplasty they'd be gone entirely. I personally think women should do what makes them happy. If their inner labia are so long they cause discomfort by all means do something about it. Anything that boosts your self confidence that you do for YOU and YOU alone is okay in my book.

*hugs* Do what makes you happy. If you don't like something about your body it is your choice to modify it to suit your personal aesthetics. My views are a bit different though because I'm heavily in to body modification (piercings, tattoos, and the like).

Either way I wish you luck and if you can afford the surgery go for it. You don't owe anyone an explanation.

Is it possible you can get it covered by insurance due to causing you discomfort? You can play it up and say it is painful, that might make them more lenient to cover you for it if you have insurance. Best of luck

I wouldn't do it. If there's a good reason to do it I'm fine with it, but I think it's awful that people get to done for cosmetic reasons. Of course I'm against plastic surgery in general (not always) so yeah.

When I get older, I wouldn't mind getting it. Some women like their vulva the way it is, but I have no problem with changing things down there if I'm not satisfied with it. That's the beauty of plastic surgery.

I wouldn't get this done. I see no reason to. I'm fine with my 'dowstairs' I wouldn't change it.

I never would. Mine's definitely not ideal, but absolutely nothing to complain about. It would take some serious problems for me to get surgery on the bits!

I would, but not because I hate the way mine looks - on the contrary, I think it looks just fine. But one side of mine is larger than the other, and protrudes from my outer lips just enough that it tends to dry out a lot, and sometimes will even get pinched. It can be quite uncomfortable sometimes.

What the fuck kind of doctor were you seeing??!!! No doctor should ever tell a patient that. Its extremely unprofessional and just not true. There is not such thing as an ugly vulva, they are all beautiful in different ways. One of my labia is also much longer then the other and I like it. I've always loved the little asymmetries that make me unique. I'm sorry your doctors were such assholes. Kudos for loving your beautiful body regardless of anyone else's opinion.

I love my vulva and I would never alter it. My labia are asymmetrical (right labia is twice the size of the left) but I really like of like it and see its imperfections in an endearing way. It makes me unique and beautiful. Besides stimulating my labia feels so good, why would I ever want less area to stimulate?

I would normally go into my huge rant about labiaplasty and how I read this article a year ago where a few surgeons were quoted saying things about how they simply tell the women their labia is too large and "unsightly" and BAM! they make --- dollars. I don't remember the actual quote or the actual amount of money they said, but whatever. It made my stomach turn to read that. It's awful and all it is is another thing to target women with, make them feel less than, not good enough and abnormal just to make a few bucks. For that reason alone, I wouldn't get labiaplasty. Some days I hate my labia. I've never thought it was pretty, but I'm not going to have it cut off just because I feel like it's not beautiful. If it was causing discomfort or problems then I could understand a woman having something done about it. However, when God made the labia, it wasn't a mistake so I hate that doctors and other people try to make women feel like having labia that are noticeable makes your body "wrong." I try to like mine, but one side really bugs me. It tends to get smushed in my jeans and cause pain and definitely is painful during intercourse, but I'm keeping it. It's so risky to have labiaplasty. I can work with loose jeans and extra lube to prevent pain/discomfort. I can't deal with having permanant damage to my cooter just because I wanted it to be pretty. I certainly wouldn't have it done because of a partner! That really upsets me, when men expect a woman to go through surgery to permanantly change their ALREADY BEAUTIFUL bodies just because they don't like it. I hate it for any woman who has been made to feel that way.

OK. Sorry, I'm a little crazy today. Lol. So no, I would not have labiaplasty unless it was necessary for some reason.
