Should I invest in vaginal dilators? (Really need help!)

Contributor: Chul Chul
So, for awhile now, I'd come to the realization I'm fairly tight. I'm so tight that even thrusting with the Small Silk dildo by Tantus still gives me some soreness and hurts noticeably during the process.

To keep this question brief, I was considering to buy vaginal dilators and perform pelvic floor exercises, rather than thrusting, to help my body adjust to accommodating larger sizes. Good call, or should I do something else? Unfortunately, going to the doctor is not an option. Besides getting some UTI's as a kid, I've never had any issues that could possibly result in vaginismus.

I was thinking of getting these- link and the plastic ones on Eden, but I've had my first break through (ha ha!) with silicone, and I think I should start off with that first.

Thanks in advanced for the help! I really do appreciate it.

Prior to using copious amounts of lube and the Tantus Silk, I hadn't been able to handle more than up to the first knuckle on my finger without my body giving me warning signs to stop, ie, immense pain. I originally thought this was just tightness from being a virgin, so, ever since I was a wee tween, I never went any further. But after coming to this website and seeing the various sizes of toys and what even some virgin women can handle, along with asking some of my female friends, I realized that I was, well, tight. I'm wondering if I really do have a kind of vaginismus.

But after inserting with that particular dildo (nothing else worked before), and lube, I've been able to take in a finger or two and a super slim plastic vibe fairly easily, relatively speaking, even if it's sill leaves a lingering ache, it's possible. But when I thrust, it does leave me a bit raw. So, I know I'm capable of handling more, it's just a matter of practicing, me thinks.

You should go to your OBGYN or GP and have them check you over for vaginismus. With a diagnosis one way or the other, you can determine what your needs are.

Another idea in addition to or instead of the dilators is using curved flexible toys, which are easier to insert and are more comfortable to use.

Good luck!
